Went to school in Boston back in 59 and 60. My roommate and I use to walk down to Boston Garden about an hour before the game, pay about $5 and sit second level, on the railing, mid court.  Have a feeling you can't do that now....

Let me be the first to welcome you, and give you your first Tommy Point!

Sixers game next week going for $15 a ticket. Taking inflation into  account I'd say that's a much better deal but the product will be junk.

$5 back then comes out to roughly $40 today which can get you decent second level tickets for a good game. You really have to remember inflation.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

If I had the chance to travel in time, I would spend a lot of time in the old Garden. Havenīt even seen the new Garden, but maybe one day.

I thought this thread was about how we're a 59-60 win team.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

TP and welcome, Barnum. My first Cs game was on a November Saturday in '59 vs Wilts Warriors. I was 7 and don't remember much except hot dogs and popcorn and my father yelling at Chamberlain and we won. Glad to see that 56 years later we're  still at it. Maybe you were there too!

Where were you at school?
