And most of his shots were uncontested. Total failure on both ends after they did so much good in the 3rd quarter.

Games like this happen in the NBA. What I find troubling is that we did not match Cavs physicality.

Yeah, him going heat check on top of the Celtics offense devolving into stagnant, ISO, hero ball was a recipe for disaster.

I mean down one with 19 seconds left you don't call time out and you let Tatum stand there and run the clock down to .7 seconds

Total failure.

I didn’t see stagnant hero ISO ball on offense. They had a lot of good looks that they usually make. Several open 3s and missed 10 footers. I was disgusted with the last possession. It’s EXACTLY the same issue they had in the playoffs last year when they took too long getting into their set and Smart hit the would be game winner AFTER the buzzer. And, I believe they did that another time this year. So, Tatum is obviously not learning from these failures. And Joe should recognize this and call a time out. The second Tatum started walking the ball up, I was screaming that he needs to push. Joe should’ve called a timeout with 14 seconds left when he saw this. Failure on both Tatum and Joe’s fault and a pattern they keep repeating.

Yeah, I saw Dan Wetzel tweet that out.  It wasn't even close.  The refs screwed those kids.    The ball left the kid's had at roughly .5 seconds left.

I'm shocked that there were four shots that weren't a JT iso.  I remember Brown had one.  I have no recollection of the others.

Jrue and Jaylen both sagged off of him on several of those three point attempts.

And on his offensive putback dunk at the very end, Jrue just stood and watched while Wade ran right by him for the dunk.  Jrue didn't even think about boxing out.

He might be a good man-to-man on-ball defender, but that was the same type of prima donna defense that Rondo used to play, where Rondo's man would get five offensive boards a game.

“I thought it was really good for us to be in that situation,” Mazzulla said. “Composed is one thing, executing is another. So I thought we were composed. I just don’t think we had great execution on some of the possessions. So I think the possessions where we didn’t score on, there’s a couple really good possessions there. But execution isn’t about the result."

What the hell kind of double-talk is that bizarre comment ?

The execution late and lack of a timeout call are definitely fair things. But overall, the fact that they blew a 22-point lead AND lost without Mitchell + Strus and others to me is the bigger story. Even if they won close it might not have looked as great.

With that said, who really cares? They are still 7.5 games up on the 2 seed and at this point I think the bigger priority is health. I'm not making excuses for them but it is a long season, sometimes teams coast and they simply won't bring it every night. The 73-win Warriors team still lost 9 games during their season. It happens. To me it's really a problem if they now lose 2-3 in a row here.
