And if the cavs are giving him away, i'd take a chance on him for something like tony and giddens or something like that.

ohh but of course...and u know i am a little biased on this one

I don't think the Cavs would trade him at this point, especially not to on of their two top competitors. They'd want a piece that could help them this year back in return.

Gee, that's funny that you people are saying he can't be found because according to ESPN, Danny Ferry has spoken at length with him.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4519794

Quote
LeBron James says the Cavaliers will welcome back Delonte West, whenever he comes back.

West was absent from training camp for the second straight day Wednesday while he deals with personal issues. Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry has spoken at length with West, coach Mike Brown said, adding that the absence is unexcused and that West will be fined.

Ferry declined to meet with reporters Wednesday.

But does it actually say when Ferry met with him? To me that just sounds like Ferry has spoken about his issues, not his absence. Mike Brown is the one saying it is unexcused and he will be fined.

Poor guy, I just hope the cavs/ his family are going about it the right way. Surely you would like to at least establish where he is, keep your distance but maintain a connection or something (not sure if this is the norm?).

Wherever he is at present, he's got a lot of people who are concerned for him and care a great deal about his well-being. I'm sure with all the attention and empathy of the people around him, that if he's not headed in the right direction, he will be soon. Certainly won't hurt if we say a prayer or two for him and his family ... really great kid. We're with ya, D.

If the are trading West, I'll take him, even if he is tri-polar.

trade for Delonte?  No thanks.. the team doesn't need a lesser skilled and more depressed version of Nomar Garciaparra.  The Celtics are trying to shed the Tony Allen gun incident too, not keep adding to it.

Good luck to Delonte though.. depression is something very individual, and no-one can possibly understand what one person is going through :(
