This is a great decision by both parties.  He's a good player.  I'm glad that the NBA higher ups saw his potential despite the fact that he played for a smaller D1 school (Harvard).  As an Asian American myself, all I have to say is that he's living a dream that many other Asian Americans (and non-Asians) have had - he gets to play for his hometown team.  I wish him the best of luck and hope he shatters any stereotypes of American born Asian ballers.  We got some home grown ballers here too, not just in Asia =P

Good for Lin. The NBA is a better place when they have Ivy League players in it.

He should have been drafted.    On the bright side, he gets to play for his hometown team and in a fun system.

This is good for him -- who knows how long his NBA career will last, but at least he gets to suit up, live the lifestyle for a while, and maybe get on the court a few times in an NBA uniform in front of his family and probably the biggest crowd he's ever played for (assuming a sold-out building). With his Harvard degree, he'll PROBABLY be okay in life after basketball.

good news - i'm hoping he gets to play. heard he was good, meant to try to see him, but never did. hopefully he'll stick. it is good to see an asian-american make it.
