I like Roby, but I like Luka Samanic more.

But wait, I also like Roby!

DARN IT, LET ME HAVE BOTH!

I like Luka's shot also the fact that he can be a stash pick is good. Two second round picks that could move up...

Excellent find Androslav! I've just seen what you've sent but I'd now really want the Celtics to draft him, he'd be great for the movement I want in terms of talent acquisition for the Celtics (acquire mobile and skilled size in the frontcourt while not downsizing the backcourt). TP for the find, I almost thought there would be no such forwards available in our pick range.

He seems to be moving up after decent measurements but I don't see him cracking the top 25 and he is on my binky list so not hating on him.

I like that every description of him coming from the combine mentions how well he handled switching on defense, including switching onto guards and perimeter players.

As for the areas that need improvement, it's important to remember that he's only 19. I'm sure the Celtics brass are taking a serious look at him.

I like both these guys in the 20s of the draft:

Luka Samanic -- The 6-foot-10 forward “made friends” within the scouting community after flashing his smooth athleticism, steady shooting stroke and hoops smarts during Thursday’s session. Samanic entered the Combine outside the top 30-35 selections. That probably won’t be the case soon.

Isaiah Roby -- Hey, an upperclassman. The 6-foot-8 forward with a 7-foot-1 wingspan made noise with his full-court skills and defensive versatility. According to one source, Roby would stay in the draft if a top 40 selection. How teams decipher his limited shooting numbers last season -- 33 percent on 3-pointers, 68 percent from the free throw line -- could determine which side of that projection he falls.

I like Roby, though I worry his offense in the NBA will be too much like Semih's (non-existant) to get him on the court ever. He measured out better than I expected at the combine. I think he's likely to stay in the draft at this point based on the local chatter. (I live in Omaha)

He would be crazy value if we could grab him with our second round pick. Roby shot 33% on 3s  this year on 2.4 attempts and 40% last year on 1.3 attempts. 70% free throw shooter. He averaged 1.9 ast .8 stl 1.9 Blk. He seems better suited  to be a role player with more room to work in The NBA than the focal point of an offense. Maybe a little like Jonathan Isaac in Orlando.

The more I look at Luka Samanic the more I like him including a good showing the NBA combine.

Maybe The Spurs will snag him at 29....

https://projectspurs.com/2019/05/21/san-antonio-spurs-prospect-watch-isaiah-roby/

looks good on highlights

but statwise looks like a guy that lacks consistency

reading scouting reports that some games he will appear like a 1st round prospect but in other games not into the game

* I mean I could see Danny reaching for him at 22 due to potential

He's definitely a gamble but taking a swing on potential is what picks in the 20s are all about. He looked really good at the combine. Miye Oni looked very good too, nice stroke. I guess I'm higher on this draft than most. I think it will be full of useful players. Both Oni and Roby are on and off again players. If they were more consistent and/or younger they would be locks for the 1st round.
