  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
The Rock
Stone Cold
Undertaker

--------

Everybody else.

Since they left I haven't been into wrestling. I just really hate a lot of the gimmicks(John Cena, although he's a good entertainer i hate the gimmick) now and there's nobody as entertaining. I watch wrestling here and there, but once The Undertaker retires wwe is dead to me, lol.

I've been watching wrastlin since the early 70's.  There is now way I can even come close to picking a favorite.  There have just been too many to name that I enjoyed watching.  I sat front row in the old garden and watched Bruno defeat Zbysko.  I saw Chief Jay Strongbow, the Iron Sheik, Fabulous Moohla, etc.  I then moved to GA and got to watch some greats from the old NWA such as Rick Flair, the Andersons, the Four Horsemen, etc.  All of these names, and I still have not talked about golden era of Wrestling with the Hulk, Macho Man, and the stars of now.  Still, what would it be if we also didn't mention, Captain Lou Albano, Classie Freddie Vlassie, or Jimmie Hart.

There is no way I can pick a fave, but I sure have enjoyed many and miss many of them now.  RIP to those that have past.....

Are you really leaving Road Warriors/Legion of Doom off your tagteam list?
I can't believe it took till page 6 of this thread for someone to mention Demolition (maybe because most guys are focusing on singles wrestlers).  I loved Demoltion, I always thought Ax and Smash were so tough (of course watching old matches on youtube kind of makes me wonder what I was thinking back then).  When they brought Crush and made Demolition a 3 man team, even though that was on the downward side of things for them, I always thought it was cool when it would be a 2 on 2 tag match, and one of the guys from Demolition would come down and hide under the ring then switch with one the tired guys so it was really 3 on 2, I always loved that.  Or the feud when it was all 3 members of Demoltion vs. Legion of Doom and the Ultimate Warrior those were great too.

My favorite tag teams are definitely Demolition, Legion of Doom, and Powers of Pain.  The all had the same gimmick basically, tough guys with face paint who would just overpower their opponents.

And let's not forget Repo Man on the list of favorite wrestlers  ::)

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Not to bring such a nostalic thread down (and one I'm also loving too, and was the inspiration behind with my Doink post), but it always blows my mind when I hear of all the wrestlers that have died.  Sure everyone knows about the Chris Benoit thing, but alot of people never hear about famous wrestlers like Bam Bam Bigelow or the Big Bossman passing away.  It's always very weird when I see a list of deceased wrestlers, just something about all these guys I used to idolize growing up and thought were invincible and then finding out they passed away.

This is an easy one for me. The best wrestler all-time was Prince Albert. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this dude before. He was an absolute beast.

Remember the Conquistadors.  They used to wear those Gold outfits.  One time there was like 15 of them under the ring and they kept switching it up.

You have to add The Samoans to the list of all time great tag teams.

We haven't mentioned commentators.  Are Jesse the Body and Gorilla Monsoon the best ever?

You do know in real life Prince Albert was the son of George "The Animal" Steele who in real life was a college english professor.

are...are you kidding me with the gay joke?

i mean, it was better in the late 80's through late 90's than it is now, but the standered uniform back then was a bannana hammock and most matches consisted of alot of...um... "holds" between 2 grown men.

Even ignoring the uncalled for gay referance, the whole statement just isn't true....

that's actually not true, I know Matt's family (Prince Albert), Dad wasn't George...I think they were gonna do a gimmick where PA was the son of George because of the similar body hair, but it didn't happen - regardless, that one isn't true
