I don't understand the Packers signing Jacobs and cutting Jones.
Jacob's is better, younger, and probably healthier

He wasn't better last season.  Something like 140 more yards on 90 (!!) more carries.
slight difference in the Raiders vs. Packers line, no?
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

It's been a pattern.  Jacobs has been at 4.0 or fewer yards per carry three of the last four seasons.  Jones has never had a season below 4.6.

The New York Giants are acquiring pass-rusher Brian Burns in a trade with the Carolina Panthers and signing him to a $150 million contract, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

Burns will be guaranteed $87.75 million in his contract, which will make him the second highest-paid defensive end in NFL history.

The Giants are sending a 2024 second- and 2025 fifth-round pick to the Panthers in exchange for Burns, sources said. The teams will also swap fifth-round picks in the 2024 draft, a source told ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

And the Packers have one of the best lines in the sport and the Raiders do not.  And it has been that way for years.  The Packers have also had consistent coaching and high level QB play.  The situations are not in any way comparable.

So, despite drastically inferior performances by Jacobs, you're confident that he's better?

Also, last season the Packers and Raiders were very close in run blocking win rate.  Jacobs just performed much more poorly.

Lol at "one of the best lines in the sport".  They are below average at run blocking.  Quit making up nonsense to "prove" a silly point.  You sound like a less convincing version of Donald Trump.

Josh Jacobs turned 26 last month, Aaron Jones will be 30 this year.  Even if they have been comparable talents in the past, I think it’s a good strategy to take the younger player. RB’s don’t age well.

Age and durability are legit question marks. Just don't pretend that Jacobs is better than Jones.  Jacobs had one great season that seemingly took a big toll on his body.

Free-agent Derrick Henry is signing a two-year, $16 million deal worth up to $20 million, including $9 million fully guaranteed in the first year with the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell ESPN.

The King now will play in the Queen City.

The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to sign free agent wide receiver Darnell Mooney to a three-year, $39 million deal, including $26 million fully guaranteed, agents David Mulugheta and AJ Stevens told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

If WR’s like Mooney are getting $13M annually, Ridley will likely want $18M+ per year. I think he will get 3yrs/$60M from the Jags with about $40M guaranteed.

If Aaron Rodgers actually runs for VP with Kennedy and destroys another Jets season it will be hilarious.

Wow, this would be legendary. I think Rodgers could be dumb enough to make such a decision. Fingers crossed.

Eagles nabbed former Patriots WR Devante Adams on a 1-year deal.

The Devante Adams era is officially over!

I really don't think Rodgers has a desire to play football anymore. I'm not at all claiming he "faked" his Achilles injury, that was unfortunate. But if things went south anyways or he got dinged up he'd probably just decide to sit out or not try out there. It helps when the Packers and Jets though keep giving him these massive extensions, of course he has an incentive to not formally retire yet and stay in headlines and the media.
