It's been a few years since I did one of these, but some games just make me extra happy (and it was early enough that I still have the energy!)
Amazing effort by a bunch of guys. It's really just a marvel to continue to witness these guys grow in confidence and trust each other. They sucked the will right out the Cavs. Lots to choose from but my selections for Game MVP are:
Marcus Morris: 2 - Tough on both ends. All over Lebron and got his hands on a bunch of loose balls. Earned his keep big time as the starter.
Al Horford: 2 - Really just an impeccable game by Big Al.
Jaylen Brown: 1 - Cavs had no match for his speed and aggressiveness.
Jayson Tatum: 1 - Put the Cavs to bed in the 4th. I probably should have given his point to one of the 3 above, but I love the guy too much to leave him out.
Honorable mention to Baynes, who also solidified things nicely in the 4th.
Enjoy the poll. I'll see if I can swing one for Game 2.
GO CELTS!

can't pick one...all important
unsung hero also was Baynes
his big body, neutralized Thompson big time
-
Total team effort. Horford and Brown were the headliners, but everyone contributed.

The beauty of this poll is that you can share the love!

2 each for Horford and Brown setting the tone early and helping us build the lead. Then 1 for Morris for out playing Lebron (I wish I had 7 votes to give him 2, but I couldn't leave off Tatum), and 1 to Tatum for being a stabilizing force and not shying away from the biggest stage if his young career
If we do one of these after every game, it'd be interesting to see who was leading after the series

in this series Baynes will have that crazy break out game
-
2 to Morris for the tough assignment
1 to Brown, Horford, Smart, Tatum
-
Brown really set the tone for the game early and played both ways like he always does.
-
1 apiece for Horford, Jaylen, Morris, Smart, Tatum and Rozier
-
Team effort. I voted one for Horford one for Brown one for Morris. Which defeats the point but they’re all deserving.
Morris gets my 1a vote to brown and Horfords 1b and 1c tho. He was a black hole in the 76ers series. Today, he played within the system, hit the shots he needed, put up a big offensive 21 and 10 game but also contained James.
KGK put up the best stat of the night. When guarded by Morris in 24 instances tonight, Lebron was held to 2-6 with 5 points. Team effort no doubt, but Morris, who I was extremely critical of last series, played MVP ball on both sides of the court tonight.

Now you’re speaking my language! Back in the day I did amen tire season’s worth for a couple of years.

So far:
Brown 31
Horford 30
Morris 24
Tatum 9
Smart 4
Baynes 3
Rozier 1

Brown, Morris and Horford all got 2 each from me. Tatum did his thing to hold the lead but first three guys were key to getting it. Overall everyone had a good play. Smart had a few nice ast and a couple of big buckets. Rozier played good D and pushed the pace. Baynes covered everyone and neutralized Thompson. Overall a great effort.
