Traditionally, home court in the playoffs matters to the supporting cast players. Strange that in game 1 and 2, the Heat supporting cast players played like hall of famers. For whatever reason, home court doesn't seem to be mattering. Home court or not though, I still contend that the Celtics are the more talented team, that team that most would expect to win any given game vs. the Heat. The Celtics should be the better team but they are also a historically inconsistent team, game to game, quarter to quarter, possession to possession.
So it is that simple, is the good team going to show up or the inconsistent team? This is not going to be about the Heat or the home court. It is about whether or not the Celtics can show up and play the whole game like they mean business. They are not trying to be some miracle underdog. They won game 4 in Miami without even playing their absolute best.
I saw the news on Brogdon. Unfortunate but not surprising based on how he was playing. Not sure if he is going to be better today or worse. We can overcome not having Brogdon. His 20 min or so can be spread around (he actually averaged 29 min vs Philly and was very good). He is not helping the team the way he has played the last couple of games. Better to play more of Grant, Hauser, and even Pritchard. We have some depth, we can use it. Rest Brogdon and bring him back to be he hero in game 7.
