Wow - what a dominating performance (after the 1st period)! Hope this is a sign of things to come for the rest of the series!

We looked awesome after that rust came off.

Yeah, I think that going down 2-0 after that terrible turnover woke them up.

1-0!!!

What a comeback from 2 goals down! I don't think it's an exaggeration to say this team is like the 2018 Red Sox in that when they heat up, they are relentless. That's what the Bruins were AFTER the Blues scored their 2nd goal early in the 2nd (off a dumb mistake).

I think it's what we needed after the way the Celts season ended.  For whatever reason, when the Cs gave up the lead to Milwaukee, they folded.  The Bruins, on the other hand, seem to hit another gear when they take a couple of punches from the other team.

Yep very true.

Even though those Celtics teams in 2016 and 2017 might not have had as much talent as the 2018-2019 squad, they still brought it every game. Never backed down and played with heart to the end. Enjoyable to watch and the 2017-2018 team went deep because of it too. We’ve seen it with the 2018 Red Sox and even 2019 Patriots who were sluggish in the regular season but came together for the SB run.

Unfortunately, this year’s Celtics team just seemed to have many egos and didn’t have that fight in them.

What really defined it was Hondo passing away and Ainge suffering a health scare. You’d think the C’s would play with more fight and energy, but nope, they went ahead and lost BOTH home games and then the series in pathetic fashion. Sad.

Bad first period and a bad start to the second, but then the Bruins turned it on and looked really good! Great way to start the Finals!

I saw nothing in this game tonight that would have me believe this series is going to end any differently than the way the Carolina series went down. 4-0. Sweep.

If that happens, what would be more impressive:

A. This current Warriors dynasty, if they win it this year

Or

B. The Boston run of 3 Titles in a row by 3 of the 4 major sports(NFL, NBA, MLB)

I gotta go with B, especially when you consider the dominance of the run in the playoffs by each team(again, in this scenario the B's win the Cup in 4 straight, winning their last 11 straight playoff games to win the cup. Sox went 11-3 in the playoffs, beating the 3 other best teams in baseball the Yanks, Astros and Dodgers. The Pat's went 3-0 in post season beating a 13-4 team then a 13-4 team then a 15-3 team.).

Not since the 30s, with Detroit.

Thanks!!! It is actually the only time a city won 3 of the 4 major leagues! Impressive......

The warriors are more impressive.

It's not like the various Boston sports teams work together or something.

It's mostly coincidence, though to a large extent the teams share fans and a media market that provide revenue.
