Rather than trade him, perhaps I wonder if there's a better way to integrate him, and a better way for players to play around him.

Dude is a huge threat off the ball, shouldn't be hard.

Wonder if Brad makes a few tweaks.

This is so dumb. Every game everyone over reacts. Look at who there playing. This team is about to go on run. Mark my words. Come golden state game Boston will be near top of east. All about the schedule and health.

Only Kyrie trade I make is if Philly wants to deal Embiid to the Celts for Kyrie to team him up with Butler.

In other words, aiming really high.

Other than that, I keep no. 11 in Boston for life.

And no, I would not trade him for Jamal Murray and 2 picks
No way they do that. What they might do however is something like this

Kyrie + Bird + Theis for Simmons + Redick + Zhaire Smith

Starting lineup come playoff time

Simmons
Redick
Hayward/Morris
Tatum
Horford

Simmons running the point and 4 shooters stretching the floor. Basically, it's the same system the Bucks are playing this season with Simmons instead of Giannis.

Really love what the Bucks are doing this season with 4 shooters stretching the floor and Giannis running the show as a point forward. Only other player in the league being able to step into Giannis' shoes would be Simmons. They are both close to 7 feet tall. They are both terrible shooters, but elite slashers. They both have great court vision (Simmons is even better than Giannis in that regard).

I know you guys are gonna hate this, but personally speaking I'd be intrigued. But then again, I'm really high on Simmons whereas the consensus on this board is that he is massively overrated.

Sorry to say, but I would agree. I am not a Simmons fan and wouldn't even consider trading Kyrie for him in a million years.

While I disagree with triboy’s desire to trade Kyrie, there’s some basic evidence for his point about ball movement / less iso ball.

Kyrie has missed four games:

Tonight: team’s 1st highest assist total
Against MIN: team’s 3rd highest assist total
Against Utah: team’s 5th highest assist total
Against NOP: team’s 23rd highest assist total

It’s probably not a coincidence that 3 of our top 5 games in terms of assists came with Kyrie out. He plays more iso than most of our other guys.

That doesn’t mean we’re better without him, though.

30+ assists for the third game in a row. 13th time this season.

Only 2nd time it happened with Kyrie not in game.

23 times with 25+ assists in a game.

Only third time with Kyrie not in game.

Ball movement is not better because Kyrie doesn't play. Every single stat supports this.
