I know there’s no Harden (and Serh Curry for that matter), but Celtics -1.5 on the road? Interesting take by the oddsmakers.

Seth is on the Nets tho right

TP for another great thread FL.  this'll be a real measure of this team's new-found success.

It opened at -1 but is now at -1.5 like you said, so the money so far is on the Celtics despite it being a road game.

Smart (illness) and Rob (calf-tightness) are both questionable tonight.

So much for being healthy.   Marcus Smart (non-covid illness) and Robert Williams (calf tightness) are both questionable.

Sixers no longer have Drummond and Embiid's backup is Paul Reed who is a rookie who can't shoot or hit FTs.

D Theis's deal is done and per the Cs site, he's supposed to suit up.

This is a pretty big game for playoff seeding purposes.  Obviously a win would pull the C's to within one game of the Sixers.  But a win would also even the series at 2-2, meaning division/conference records would be used for tiebreakers.  A win would move the C's to 7-6 in the division and 24-14 in conference, while the Sixers would drop to 4-7 in division and 19-14 in conference.  A Sixers win would effectively drop the C's 4 games back (3 in the standings plus the head-to-head tiebreaker), so tonight's game is essentially doubly important.

I worry about Harris who seems to always kill us both running the floor and hitting 3s at a higher rate (seemingly) than his normal rate.

Like to see Tatum start the game on Harris, and have Horford/Thies tag-team Embiid if Timelord is out.

Go Cs and TP TLCsFan for another comprehensive gamethread.

If we are missing both Smart and RWill, we will be very thin but they will be too.  Having Theis will help.

I like how we match up though.  We have no answer for Embiid but the rest of the Sixers:

Maxey
Green
Thybulle
Harris

doesn't scare me at all.  We may have the advantage at every position.  Even if we start Tatum at PF, we have more size other than C.  If we don't have RWill, we can go with Horford, Theis, and Grant as the big rotation.  They don't have anyone who can really exploit GWill's lack of size.

This is winnable if we bring our best game.

We loose by less than 20 with out Rob would be a miracle.  Embiid will have 50 and get them anywhere he wants .

I'm not hopeful either. Shame.

Embiid will have his way and should tear though Theis and Al like a wet paper bag .  I can’t watch a murder unfold ..LOL………I think Tacko would have been more defense in the paint against this monster .
