As long as he doesn't end up in yellow and purple! Worst nightmare!

We might need AD to deal with that, jeesh.

That would be so hilariously bad for both Lebron's and KD's legacy though

If Durant says he wants to go to a team without the proper salary space that team will justifiably have a fire sale to unload salary.

While that very well may be true, that doesn’t really apply to us.

We’d have to let Kyrie walk, probably let Rozier and Morris walk, and then have Horford and Baynes opt-out and walk.

Then we would still have to shed some salary. Figure we get Kings-Clips-Celts first rounders, and signed a second rounder, we’d still only be at around $29M for 11 players (4 rookies).

Would KD really want to come play for THAT team?

I’m pretty sure it’s as close to impossible Durant comes here.

What ever happens, Ainge will have an answer to that.

If i have to say top 3 teams to get Durant next season it be:
LA Lakers
New York
Washington

If Philly resigns Butler, would they have the cap space to sign Durant?

KD is out whether they win everything or not..

Id say LA clippers is his destination... Has the capspace and Jerry West... Yeah remember him, he is the reason why KD is in the bay area.. And he will be the reason Durant will be LA bound... Why would you think doc is still at the helm if doc thinks his team is goin nowhere in 5 yrs... They had laid out the plan for KD.... Fakers would be the dark horse here though.

And frankly I think splitting KD and the Warriors will be the best thing for Adam Silver.. Because the West will still be very good, but not one single team good.

i mentioned this in the philly thread.  if durant said he'd go to philly they could let all the expirings go, trade fultz for a pick or two to a team with cap space  (w/o taking contracts back) and have about 30 mil i believe

Unless he wants the Vet Min, then no we don’t

This. It just isn't realistic for the Celtics to be in that chase.

we'd need under the cap space, so like half our team would have to go...

Only Hayward or Horford would have to go in terms of matching salary, plus we cannot sign Durant straight up, unless as you said, we gut half our team. But if we were doing S&T, it would make sense, but GSW would never agree to that.

I know exactly how to get KD...

Trade for Green right now and then when KD hits free agency? He'll head right for Boston....Oh, wait a minute....he called him a what?

Ok, Ok...DON'T trade for Green.
