Did anybody else enjoy the half-time show with McHale, Webber, Barkley and Smith? I thought McHale fit in well, Webber seems better without Payton and even Barkley was good. I loved Kenny's comment that Barkley could see over his stomach to see his shoelaces were untied.

That TNT group is always entertaining whether you agree with them or not. But Charles needs to step it up when he is out from behind the desk.  Put on some dress shoes for 10 minutes for the love.  I know you went to Auburn, but still (no offense Marquis).  ;)

Very happy to see Mchale join the team. I wonder how good NBA TV Fan night is going to be, now that it's only Mchale and Webber. Both those guys are extremely clever, though I don't know how they'd gel.

Which by the way, how scary is it that they make Ernie Johnson look really short, and that he's probably 6'3?

Charles sounded drunk last night (not saying he was, just that he sounded so). And Kenny was trying to make excuses for picking Cleveland to go to the finals.  Kenny loves the Lakers. CWebb loves the Celtics. He gets it regarding how big a pickup Sheed was for us.

I like the crew and though McHale fit in well.

I hope they do more sit down segments, though.  I couldn't stop staring at how long McHale's legs were.  Seriously, I think 6 feet of him is legs.

I thought the EXACT same thing. My first though was "is the economy so bad that they can't afford chairs this year?"

I think the Barkley/McHale combo is going to generate some of the most interesting and humorous and sometimes heated halftime debates the NBA on TNT has ever seen. They're just getting warmed up my friends. All the butt kissing jocularity is now out of the way with Opening Night over. Let the fun begin.

As an aside, can't wait to hear McHale dis his good buddy Danny about going grey all of a sudden. That comment is sure to come and will be laugh out loud hilarious I am sure.

Was it me or was Webber better without Payton being there? I disliked his work with Payton but last night I thought he did a good job.

I aways enjoy Sir Charles, even when he's full of baloney, which is about half the time.

Webber is an articulate guy.  Payton was just an angry old man.  I'm waiting for Charles to start ripping McHale for his bad moves as GM of the Wolves.
