Nice move by Tatum getting out of Sexton's way on that last shot.

And go figure, Brooklyn is getting absolutely demolished by Memphis right now.   Ugh

Okay, I am ready for Carsen Edwards - can't be worse than Smart and at least has the potential to go off. He is a spark plug, too.
I will take a bad Smart over a good Edwards every day of the week.
Just thought this bares repeating.

I guess, but Smart was absolutely dreadful through mid-3rd quarter. It couldn't have been worse with Edwards out there for Smart's minutes up to that point in the game. But, yeah, as I noted in a later post, I was looking forward to Smart coming back (for Waters) and he mostly redeemed himself. Nice effort and happy he stopped forcing things.
Nah. I am firmly of the belief that Carsen Edwards could have been worse, possibly much worse.

First 3 quarters by Smart were perhaps the least inspired I’ve ever seen him. Giving up back-to-back career highs for merely above average scorers sucks too.

At least Semi was a bright spot (alongside the now normal Tatum explosion)

and timelord

Good win after last night and given how many guys are out tonight. Hopefully we can get some guys back (sans Brown) on Friday and try to catch the Raps again.

Helps that it seems like Curry will be back tomorrow night against Toronto.

Worst loss of the season followed by the worst win.
the worst win is always better than the best loss (which last night was not)

Calling it right now. Tatum gets 40+ points tonight

(I believe they said Tatum is playing, but Kemba, Hayward + Brown are out)

Only off by 8 points  :P

But congrats to Semi. Big game from him tonight. Kanter also with a nice 10-10 in 14 minutes

Lavert's arm is probably tired from all that shooting from last night

Timelord with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 stl, 0 TOs, and a + 14 in just 14 minutes. Good things happen when he's on the floor.

You probably should correct your original statement then. I suppose Edwards has the potential to be worse (although I don't see it. Smart was just atrocious at that point), but you specifically said 'good Edwards.' That just doesn't make any sense. Sorta weird to pump yourself up over a questionable comment made at a time when Smart was probably the worst player on the court.

Worst loss of the season followed by the worst win.

I mean, given that we are coming off a tough OT loss and playing the next night on the road - let alone all of the injuries to 3 of our 4/5 best players - I think this was a solid win.

A win is a win.

Props to Ojeleye for stepping up.  Showed a couple of shots off the bounce that I didn't even know he had.

Tatum is Tatum.  Smart had a bad game overall but showed up in the fourth quarter.  We did enough to win.

Gutsy win on the road with 3 of our studs out.

And The upstart BKN Nets are getting their behinds handed to them by MEM right now - at home.

Wonderful. The Nets really know how to stick it to us (beating us, obviously, and hurting our pick from MEM). Seems they'll never forgive us for Tatum and Brown...and apparently Sexton. That guy sure has a way of making it look easy.
