I wonder if because Stevens philosophy is not to crash the offensive boards and instead get back on defense, if the players think every team does that. Obviously in practice, the Celtics practice against each other, most likely both teams using the same get back on defense ideology.

Do they get too used to that so when they play a team that believes in crashing the offensive boards, like say Houston, they end up giving up too many offensive boards because they aren't used to playing and practicing against that type of team?

Okay, I am ready for Carsen Edwards - can't be worse than Smart and at least has the potential to go off. He is a spark plug, too.
I will take a bad Smart over a good Edwards every day of the week.
