Will post something here after I get a chance to look at how the rosters/rotations stack up.

PG: Chris Paul / Luke Ridnour
SG: Wes Matthews / Landry Fields
SF: Danny Granger / Chase Budinger
PF: Ersan Ilyasova / Amir Johnson
C: Nene / Jordan Hill / Kenyon Martin

On a scale of 1 to Michael Jordan, where do you rank Wesley Matthews?

I actually think these two teams match up well together.  McGee/Nene banging against eachother.  Amare and Ersan firing away.  Deng making Granger work harder than he wants to.  Good talent depth at the 2 guard spots (Matthews/Fields v Thornton/Henderson).

BUT.  The mismatch at PG is just too glaring.  CP3 re-opened my eyes a bit during the olympics.  Jeff Teague is gonna need to grab his Creepy Crawlers lunchbox and Dawson's Creek Trapper-Keeper.  Kid is about to get learn'd sumthin good.

Granger actually shot well this season versus Chicago, 46% from the field and 44% from 3 and that was without the benefit of Chris Paul setting him up.

Stoudemire will have difficulties defending Ersan on the perimeter. Amare has never been a good defender and he's gotten worse the past few seasons.

Can't put Ilyasova on Amare. Needs to be on JaVale McGee. Nene is a good matchup for Amare. Put Ilyasova on Odom when Odom checks in. Keep Nene on Amare.

Amare would do bad things to Ilyasova.

My strategy for CP3 is probably to start Mo Williams. MO has actually faired pretty well againts him. I also think Jeff Teague can hold his own. Also I probably wouldnt hesistate to put Gerald Henderson on CP3.

BTW Amare will destroy NENE and Illaysova.

My bench I think is a little better than Detroits.

Also CP3 had blake griffen in LA who is the second fiddle to CP3 9...Granger??

Deng and Granger are a wash.

CP3 defintely has the advantage.

Amare and McGhee have to be the reason you win riah.

Why will Amare fare better with Javale then Tyson?

Who guards Amare? Personally if it is Ersan I think that is a big issue.

Paul put up 23.5 ppg, 8.5 apg on 51.7 % shooting and hit 7 of 11 3's versus Atlanta this year. Teague can't hold his own against Paul.

Mo Williams is not in Paul's class.

2nd fiddle depends on the matchups. For this series, likely Granger as he played well against Deng this past season. For others Nene. Nene should do fine against McGee or Amare.

As for benches, Carter is a shell of himself. Odom is coming off his worst season. Mo Williams is still Mo Williams. Meanwhile, Ridnour played well as a starter last year in Minnesota. Fields provides energy, defense and scoring. Budinger was one of the best 3 pt shooters in the NBA. Hill provided solid scoring and rebounding last season.

Nene with Ersan on McGee. Don't forget we can also use Hill and Kmart.

Oh and Amare has never been able to carry a team.

Thanks. I would put Nene on Amare as well.

Kenyon Martin would be a really good matchup against Amare. I'd play Kenyon Martin ahead of Amir Johnson as my primary backup center in this series.

Who, Kmart on Amare is likely what we'll do. Lucky and I picked him up for situations like this.
