They beat Phoenix tonight in Phoenix.  >:(

They’re half a game out of the playoffs.

This is not good for the Celts.

The pick is looking like it's only a top 14 pick.

Hopefully the Griz slide and the Celts end up with the 7th or 8th pick.

I think it's best if the pick conveys this year.
Next year the Griz might become a playoff team.

Welp pretty much worst case scenario right now. 14th pick if it conveyed right now, and in a bad draft.

Memphis has the third-worst point differential in the West.  They’ve won 1-2 more games than you’d expect, and a couple of the teams they’re tied with/ahead of have lost 1-2 more games than you’d expect.  More likely than not the luck will even itself out over the last 45-50 games and Memphis will fall a few spots down.

Also, the rookie wall is a pretty real phenomenon.  I think Morant’s terrific play will slow down a bit and/or he’ll see some extra nights off.  2000 minutes is a lot for a 20-year old with a slighter build.

Trade the pick! Don't need to stockpile anymore as we have Tatum, Brown, and Walker leading the pack. The Celtics need depth and a big who can neutralize the likes of Embiid, Giannis, and Davis in the playoffs

#JTJB (Just Trade Jaylen Brown)
#JFJM (Just Fire Joe Mazzulla)

Give me one name that's a realistic purchase with the pick alone that's not Andre Drummond (he's still going to be eaten alive by those three).
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Alex Len? (Not for the Memphis pick, in general)

As far as I can tell Atlanta want to hang on to him. He’s been pretty good for them over the last two seasons in ~20MPG.

Further, not sure we can match salaries easily without losing more big depth. Unless you think Atlanta would take Semi + Poirier + a pick for him (I do not.)

He’d be a great addition though. Would love if Favors got bought out and came here, but don’t think it’s too likely.

I'm officially pessimistic about the pick ever turning into something legit.
