Watching the game it feels like Brad is more focused on keeping his players happy than winning games. Shoveling minutes to under-performing players like Rozier and Baynes and keeping the rookie on the bench just because it won't upset anyone if he does that. Everytime Williams has been on the court he's done good things - he has an inside presence we are completely lacking in, and is incredible at altering shots - even 3-pointers - and rolls to the rim, which we've had almost none of this season.
What exactly does Rozier bring at this point? He stifles the offense by dribbling for 15 seconds a possession, doesn't pass, doesn't take good shots, and doesn't play defense. He was an absolute revolving door tonight - a 34 year Barrea just coasted by him for easy layups, and since there's no one protecting the rim he can just lay it in. Heck, give his minutes to Wanamaker and maybe that will shock him into actually playing smart. Brad doesn't want to be the bad guy and bench Rozier or hold other guys accountable. Well, sometimes that's what being a coach entails.
But yeah, Williams needs to play. Take those minutes from Baynes and Semi. Baynes is trying out there but he doesn't protect the paint or rebound or later shots like Williams can, and those 3-pointers are painful.
