Today's game reminded me of Game Seven against Cleveland.

Maybe the Cs should spend more time in practice shooting threes.

Nope. I have been saying this for a year.

One year the Knicks did really well shooting threes, and they ended every practice with a three point shooting contest. I though that was a great idea.

I think we’ll have a more worthwhile discussion once we actually play a few meaningful games
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Yeah, not concerned at all.  Looked more like a pick up game than an nba game.  That will change.  In terms of the players, Tatum was on cruise control, which is cool.  Kyrie looked like kyrie.  Al was al.  Jaylen was too eager to shoot the three, which i guess is the game in a microcosm.  On the other hand, when he did run in the open court he looked electric.  Most importantly, Hayward looked spry.  He was rusty but good to see him out there looking like an athlete.

It’ll take some time for the team to gel but I’m buying the hype.

Edit to add that rozier looked very explosive as well.  Several wow plays o thought.

Suddenly, everyone around the league is marking the Celtics as "overrated, flawed" for getting blasted in the preseason opener.  :'(

Interesting take. While the consensus appears that the Celtics will be one of the better 3pt shooting teams 1-5 in the NBA, you are taking the contrarian view.

And yes, this is an overreaction thread.

How’d that work out for the Knicks?

It was ONE game, and the first one at that. We led comfortably throughout the first half, let our foot off the gas and we let a preseason game slip away.

No worries whatsoever, this team will drill threes from everywhere, by everyone.

Yabusele and Semi need to be reminded to face the basket when they shoot.  Some of those attempts seemed to be taken because they were supposed to be taken... it didn't even seem like they tried or expected to make them.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
