 96 Bulls
 86 Celtics
 86 Lakers
2017 warriors
2019 Celtics

If the Celtics could pull this off. End the Warriors run effectively. Durant goes to the Lakers as rumored and the Celtics go on to win 3 to 6 titles over the next ten years.

What I'm saying is what an opportunity this year. Go Celtics. GOAT status up for grabs.

I'm not going that far, but I don't remember being so excited for a season.  This team should contend for years.  The season can't start soon enough.

Beating the Warriors would not make us the greatest team ever (see Cavs team that beat the 73-win Warriors or the giant team that beat the undefeated Pats team).

But it would be a heck of an accomplishment and fun to watch.  And I think it's possible.

I'm postulating that we cut the heads off the warriors and go onto win 4 rings in 6 years.

Winning the title alone wouldn't make the team one of the greatest ever.  But if they were to win somewhere north of 68 games, and then go on a dominating playoff run that culminated in a championship, they certainly could be.

I don't know how likely that is, but I do think it's within the realm of possibilities for this team.

The main thing, IMO - is that we are strategically positioned for the next few years to BLOCK the Lakers.

Don't believe for one min that Jeanie Buss and Magic don't have their eyes on our 17 championships.

It would make me smile so much to stay ahead of the Lakers. This is the team to do just that.

Again, KG Living Legend is talking about this team being one of the greatest, AFTER 3-4 titles in the next six years, not just this year.

So not simply one of the greatest single-season teams ever, but greatest team ever in terms of time period?

Well, obviously you cannot determine that after one season.  That's self explanatory.

This year's team should be special, but what is nearly unprecedented is that the team is so loaded for improvement after this year. Only Horford and Baynes are on the back nine. The rest of the team is distributed very evenly from age 28 (Hayward) back to 20, and the team has 3 high quality draft picks besides their own coming.

Barring some bad luck, this is going to keep getting better as far as the eye can see.

That’s weird, millions of us had nothing to do with it.   ::)

I would assume he is more referring to the mid 80’s Lakers generally
