Did anyone else start laughing hysterically when ESPN showed the Mavs' bench, and there staring out at the court from the 2nd row, was this guy?

No. I don't laugh at people for being less than attractive. Perhaps I was made fun of too much as a kid.  :'( This helped me realize that the most important kind of beauty is on the inside.  :)

Get that guy a Baby Ruth.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Yeah, ever since Sox fans taunted Jim Eisenreich for having Tourettes the thought of making fun of anyone for any type of disability or physicality really turns me off.

Popeye Jones should be made fun of for his name, not his face...

Though Popeye clearly has both the cartoon character and fast food chain tie in, my favorite Celtic of all time in the category of worst name was:

Roy Rogers...and he wore 99 as well - two crappy restaurants advertised at the same time - well played sir, well played

Popeye may have been ugly, but in his prime he averaged a double double.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
i remember watching popeye in college at murray state...i think he weighed around 400 pounds back then.  i give him credit for getting his weight under control and having a decent nba career.

and to the poster above regarding roy rogers - i noticed he's an assistant coach with new jersey.

i guess they'll hire anyone in the nba these days...

This whole thread is making me hungry for some cajun-style fried chicken from a fast food restaurant frequented by Delonte West. Strange.
