Anyone thinking that we're going to stand a chance against a playoff team with Rondo, PP, KG and Ray out, should immediately get treatment for UO (Uber-optimism).
yea it'll be tough watch Josh Smith have a career night.
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

But we DO stand a chance. Celtics got beat by the Nets, if I recall the worst team in NBA history and all 4 of our best players played that night.

Crazier things have happened.

Quote
Rex Chapman tied his career high with 39 points to help Pat Riley's outnumbered Miami Heat outshoot the stunned Chicago Bulls 113-104 Friday night.

One day after trading away three starters, the Heat dressed just eight players, but beat the Bulls with deadly outside shooting. Chapman led the way, hitting 9 of 10 3-point attempts.Michael Jordan scored 31 points for Chicago.

The Heat tied a team record with 15 3-pointers. They built a 26-point lead late in the third quarter, then withstood a charge by the Bulls.

The defeat snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Bulls, who fell to 48-6. They remain on a pace to become the first NBA team to win 70 games.

Exactly. Insane things always happen.
You just have to AVOID depending on them..

anyone else think that he is going to say "paul and kg refused to sit" and this is a big mind game? That would be awesome

Actually, unless they have serious injury issues, I cannot see them agreeing to go DNP immediately. If they sit out, that means Doc gave them one hell of a long speech that persuaded them somehow.
Competitive players don't like sitting out and those two are as competitive as an NBA player can ever get :)

I actually like it, our guys are getting rest and ready for the playoffs, meanwhile we get to see what some of our bench players can do. All while not caring about the outcome.

Someone needs to remind Brandon Bass that is he a starter for the Celtics not a 3rd string bench player...

We're not going to end up playing this line-up at any point in the future anyway, so, I don't think you get to see what you have in the bench with rotations messed up likes this.

hmm... silver lining time.

1. possibly move up in the draft
2. get the old guys some rest

ok... i still really want to win this game! Hopefully a couple C's will have the games of their lives. Go Celtics!

Looks like the bench is trying to replicate the 3 point defense Boston played against the Knicks wow

Uhhh no matter what lineup is out there Jason Collins should not score 7 points in a game much less the 1st quarter
