Celtics and the drama is exhausting. Every year there is something. Every offseason something.

IF this team can win the title it will be a miracle.

I’m sorry but the Celtics owe everyone an explanation. Rules violations doesn’t hold up for a year long suspension and possibly Ime being let go for good.

Something major happened for this punishment
It will come out - eventually. The Celtics seem to do a pretty good job of keeping stuff internalized but there will be plenty of gossip within the NBA community and someone like Russillo or Perk or Jalen Rose will talk about it.

So Tatum and Brown had to go through Kyrie going bizarro on the team, Hayward turning into a shadow of his former self before their eyes, Horford replaced by a gimpy Kemba, and then just when things start getting normal Ime says hold my beer...
Feels like the wheels are coming off and we’re about to enter the dark ages again soon.

Next offseason it will be the JB will he or won’t he re-sign news cycle.

Rumors that he had affairs with one front office employee and the spouse of another. No idea if it’s true, but it’s the kind of thing you can imagine making it hard to keep him around.

This sums it up well.

Yeah, the C’s organization is in a tough spot here. You of course want to keep this as private as possible, but the reported crime simply doesn’t fit this kind of punishment. The details will assuredly come out at some point, but it does feel like some sort of explanation is needed,

Regardless, very disappointed in Ime, as he clearly doesn’t deny wrongdoing even if the punishment is more severe than anticipated. Highly doubt he ever coaches Boston again, and I’m very worried about how this affects the Jays’ perception of this organization.

If the C's are gonna throw the banhammer for one year, might as well let him walk. Makes no sense to retain Udoka at this point. It'll just create the awkwardness between him and the organization. He can start new somewhere else.

Sadly, I feel like JB's probably ready to dip next season or so thanks to all the stress he had to endure as a Celtic (Kyrie, Hayward's ankle, ECF exits, a change in coaching, involved in KD trade rumors, and now Udoka issues)

So this wasn’t the league disciplining Ime, it was the Celtics right?

In that case they absolutely owe everyone an explanation soon

My guess is the Celtics want to fire him but are trying to figure out how to do it legalistically

I wish we could have one drama-free year. Is that too much to ask? Why can't we have nice things!!!!

The fact the Celtics probably will blow off questions about this is weak.
