Thanks for the advice Gouki, I had looked into Gainwell and somebody had snagged him at the end of the draft. The guy who has Penny has Walker as a handcuff. Slim pickins over here haha.

I lost Dak Prescott in Week One.

Who do I look to start in his place?  I have Derek Carr, and there are a few decent options on the waiver wire:  Winston, Wentz, Mariota, Ryan, Tua.

What do you think?

Also, who's a better end of bench option, Rex Burkhead or Alexander Mattison?  I have Dameon Pierce so I'm tempted to handcuff him with Burkhead.  But, Mattison has elite RB potential if there's a trade or injury.

I pickup a backup and in this order:  Wentz, Ryan, Winston, Mariota, Tua.  Reasoning, a couple years ago, Wentz was the MVP, then hurt his back.  He looked really good Sunday.  Matty Ice is Matty Ice, consistent.  Last three years he averaged 4338 yards and 24 TD's with 12 INT's.  Jameis looked back last year until the ACL.  If he's back, he's good!  Mariota on the Falcons, meh, and I'm not a Tua guy!

Also, I take Mattison over Burkhead because Cook is bound to miss some time.

I am in a 12 team standard PPR scoring league. This is my roster heading into this week:

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Fournette
RB: JK Dobbins
WR: Chase
WR: AJ Brown
TE: Hunter Henry
FX: Terry McLaurin
K:  McPherson
D:  Baltimore

BN: Mooney
BN: Woods
BN: Russell Gage
BN: Trevor Lawrence (in case Brady finally looks his age)
BN: Khalil Herbert
BN: Cole Kmet
BN: Rachaad White

IR:  Brian Robinson

This was my first time doing a 12 teamer and boy does it dry up fast with talent. Long story short RBs I had my eye on kept disappearing a few picks before me, so I took a swing on a wideout. I got Brady in like round 11 so that may be a steal. I am banking on either Dobbins or Robinson being passable when they are healthy. Other than that I have 3 great wideouts and a workhorse back.

Any advice on RBs would be great haha.

Three Bears!  They’re my team, so I’m impressed.  Lousy offense, but I like all three of those guys.

And yeah, 12 teams is tough.  10 teams is more forgiving; you can usually snag some good guys off of waivers, particularly the handcuffs for lead backs.

I went with Burkhead because I have a lot of risk on my roster already.  I am *shocked* that the manager who owns Cook hasn’t picked him up.  Sure, he’s useless most weeks, but if Cook goes down he’s legit too-10.

my office league is 14 teams, you want to talk about bottom of the barrel in the waiver wire, try one of those.

Pretty happy with the big money league with my law school mates.  That was the one I asked about earlier

QB - Lamar
WR - D. Johnson, Mooney, Landry, Lazard, Gage, Samuel
RB - McCaffery, Fournette, J. Robinson, Pierce
TE - Andrews, Kmet
K - Carlson
DEF - Baltimore

So got 3 Ravens with Lamar, Andrews, and the Defense.  I was trying to get Tucker as well, but he went right before so I took Carlson who has actually been the highest scoring kicker over the last few years anyway.  My WR's are a bit weak but that happens when you don't take your 1st (Johnson) till the 4th round and don't take the 2nd until the 7th (Mooney)
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Would you start Lamb, Stevenson, or Davis, or Kirk? Pick three.

Try to get Jeff Wilson Jr

Get Winston. He won’t be available for long and their defense is bad so lots of passing.

Jeff Wilson Jr pickup would be looking pretty good right now.

Which Davis?  Mike?  If so, I’d start the other three.

That's a wily move! Penny always seems hurt, and I doubt they'll be throwing the ball much.

Zander Horvath is a FB getting a TD reception a game :P Slim pickings indeed.

Ah.  I’d sit Stevenson, but the Pats are unpredictable.

That's how I'm leaning too. I'm giving Lamb one more week. If Stevenson is good and he's bad. Lamb is getting benched or traded. I had him all last year too. One of the most frustrating players in ff.

I'd be wary of Penny. Shares the running load with Walker, and received no targets last game. Atlanta have been a pretty good rush defence thus far too.

I'd be tempted to Engram. He's been getting a decent amount of targets and has caught most of them
