I lost Dak Prescott in Week One.

Who do I look to start in his place?  I have Derek Carr, and there are a few decent options on the waiver wire:  Winston, Wentz, Mariota, Ryan, Tua.

What do you think?

Also, who's a better end of bench option, Rex Burkhead or Alexander Mattison?  I have Dameon Pierce so I'm tempted to handcuff him with Burkhead.  But, Mattison has elite RB potential if there's a trade or injury.

I usually only carry 1 QB until the bye.  So I think I'd just stick with Carr.  Winston does have some high point potential though as he will throw the ball a lot.  And if you only stick with 1 QB, that allows you to have both the RB's you are talking about.  If I had to choose, I'd choose Mattison.  I don't think the Texans are going to score a ton of points and even if Pierce goes down, I don't think that is going to change Burkhead's role much.

I had Dak as a backup to Mahomes!  I’ll stick with my starter.  8 team league so everyone is pretty loaded.

Bummer losing your guy week 1.

Apparently Geno Smith has become awesome as a backup.

Carson Wentz looked pretty good yesterday… Would probably rotate between him and Carr based on matchups. I’d keep the handcuff RB’s, unless you have good waiver priority and can get someone better.

Get Winston. He won’t be available for long and their defense is bad so lots of passing.

I have my WR2 and Flex spot and I'm really struggling as I have a lot ok/good players, but no one you can just pencil in every week for those spots

WR Eligible - Mooney, Landry, Lazard, Gage
Flex Eligible - the 4 WR + Pierce (HOU), Robinson (JAX), Kmet

I'm leaning towards Mooney and Robinson, but can see rationale for any

It is a 1 ppr league with bonuses for long TD's

Definitely Robinson at Flex.  For me, there's no debate about that.

The WRs are more tricky.  Based upon what we saw last week, I'd lean toward Landry.  Mooney and Lazard have more upside, but I see Winston throwing a lot more than Fields, and there seems to be a good rapport between Winston and Landry.  But, I think you can justify any of the top three, and maybe even Gage.  But, I'd go with a good #2 WR in a good offense than a #1 in a terrible passing offense.

What I'm struggling with is Mooney was pretty darn good last year and the Bears week 1 game was basically in a monsoon.  And of course I do think Lazard is the #1 WR on a team with one of the best QB's in the sports history.  He has injury concerns though.  This is where it is a struggle, but Landry and Winston did connect a lot in week 1.  I know whoever I pick will have a terrible game thought as that is always how it works.

I will always hate Lazard because of one Monday night game I had him rostered.  I needed literally one point from him, and he got zero.

After waivers, I’ve got:

QB: Carr
RB: McCaffrey
RB: Barkley

D:  Tampa

BN: J. Robinson
BN: Hopkins (suspended)

The long-term plan is to add Watson as a speculative QB.

I am in a 12 team standard PPR scoring league. This is my roster heading into this week:

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Fournette
RB: JK Dobbins
WR: Chase
WR: AJ Brown
TE: Hunter Henry
FX: Terry McLaurin
K:  McPherson
D:  Baltimore

BN: Mooney
BN: Woods
BN: Russell Gage
BN: Trevor Lawrence (in case Brady finally looks his age)
BN: Khalil Herbert
BN: Cole Kmet
BN: Rachaad White

IR:  Brian Robinson

This was my first time doing a 12 teamer and boy does it dry up fast with talent. Long story short RBs I had my eye on kept disappearing a few picks before me, so I took a swing on a wideout. I got Brady in like round 11 so that may be a steal. I am banking on either Dobbins or Robinson being passable when they are healthy. Other than that I have 3 great wideouts and a workhorse back.

Any advice on RBs would be great haha.

Kenneth Walker might be worth a look if available. Penny is made of glass, and I think Carroll will want to be a run-heavy team. Kenneth Gainwell could be another interesting guy if he remains a feature of their passing game (which I think he ought to). Both guys are under 60% rostered, so might be available.
