Kabengele averaging 16.3 PPG and 10 RPG with a positive +/- in all three games. Very energetic body.

61.5 FG%,
37.5 3FG%
77.8 FT%

If we don't sign him to a 15-man roster spot, someone else will.

Yeah, he's definitely a cut above most Summer League bigs.

Been arguably our best player for each game too and certainly in total.

The Celtics are going to be way too good to sign a bunch of their Summer Leaguers, which is too bad because there are several genuinely promising players.

I doubt any one outside Celtics Fans see this as revenge.   It is summer league with zero stakes

Kabengele continues to impress.

'promising' may be an overstatement but from what I've seen Kabengele looks like he should get a deal to make the 15 man roster.  Davison and Begarin have shown flashes but aren't ready for a primetime roster spot.  I'd give them the 2-ways but I believe one was already used for someone else.  Ryan will catch on with another team.  other than those players, I don't see anyone making the case for a contract

I like JD… he’s a ball of energy.

He s got a run a way motor , has years to throttle back and hone some skills .  I expect he ll stick somewhere eventually. I hope so,  his is good story for small town boy.  Lot of pressure , but seems to know what he wants .

I have to say I was not very excited about summer league this year because Mader wasn't playing and we have not had a 1st round pick in a few years.  After watching these games I like a few of the young players.

Kabangele will be on an NBA Roster.  He moves well for a big but needs to improve his awareness.  He also needs to work on his screening.  He bails out or doesn't position himself exceptionally well.  He can definitely learn from Rob and Al.  He has much better athleticism then I expected.  He's only 24.  It always takes big men longer to develop then wings and guards.  Maybe we found our late bloomer.  I'd rather have him then the green kornet.

JD - I like his game except this kid can't shoot for Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.e.  Zero touch around the rim.  He needs a lot of work on his shooting to be a rotational player.  He absolutely has the vision and ball handling skills to be a PG but his shot needs a lot of work.

Bergarin - Kid will be ready next year.  Still 19 yrs old until August.  He looks much better this year then last year.  Still needs to improve his shooting.  Good vision and decent handles.  Needs to improve his handles and decision making.  He attacks which I like.  Can finish at the rim and will definitely be on the roster next year.

Hauser - disappointed he got hurt and really hasn't played.  I wanted to see him show out in summer league and really didn't in the two games he played.  Shot better in the 2nd game.  He is just a tick slow to be in the rotation.  He should just focus on his athleticism and shooting.  Maybe turning about 5lbs of fat to muscle will help his explosion.  I'd love to see a Max Strus type in him.  I just don't know if he's as athletic as strus.

I liked Kabengele coming out of the draft and thought the Clippers got a steal. I was wrong. Going into SL, I assumed he would look like he belongs in Summer League. I was wrong.

From what I have seen, he definitely looks like he could have a place on our team as a depth big. Looks too good to be in Summer League. I would love if the Celtics used their final spot on him, possibly for more than 1 year. It looks like something may have clicked for him. Almost certainly could be a rotation player in the NBA long term. Has size, touch and instincts.
