I get the arguments against it. I truly do. But quite frankly it's getting exhausting seeing the same people regurgitating the same things over and over again, no matter how nonsensical it is or how many times they are refuted. It's hard to ignore them when this stuff happens on every single thread. Adding some sort of ignore option would make it must more enjoyable to post here.

Devil’s advocate:  why not just skip posts without reading them?

I’m probably on here more than any other member, and I’m not ashamed to say that I’ve skipped over thousands and thousands of posts.

I’m 100% sympathetic, btw. Some of the repetitive, negative posts (particularly about Jaylen and Hayward) get old.

Sorry, my friend. As a mod, there’s no hiding posts from you, ignore button or not. You get to read everything posted, no matter how mind-numbingly idiotic, lewd or profane.

I can attest that many of my posts have been edited or deleted.  The NCE distinction has completely banned many of us from contributing on many important topics simply because our world view may not resonate in the party line echo chamber.  An ignore button could be utilized by the offended individuals and allow the continuation of an important dialogue.
Everyone wants truth on his side, not everyone wants to be on the side of truth.

I think I've adopted your tendency to skip posts! It can be quite taxing, lol

Re editing and deleting: Political posts or Bball related posts? Or both?
Was what you posted inflammatory or derogatory?

Please give us an ignore or block button like Stocktwits and so many other sites have. Trolls do not add anything to my desire to visit this amazing site.

Oh wow, I forgot I even made this post  :o. I don't even necessarily think this anymore, but an option would be nice.

I wholeheartedly agree with having an ignore feature because after today, Celticsblog is going to be a trashfire for the next couple of weeks. For once, I would like to visit Celticsblog with a peace of mind rather than to be forced into reading inane overreactive hot takes.

I don't understand what is so hard about scrolling past (and not responding to) the posts you do not want to read.

I can ignore one or three posts, but an excessive amount of post that you have to wade through is just something I don't want to go through.
