Rather bring back Thomas Robinson from overseas.

That 2014 draft, other than Embiid, was really bereft of stars.
Most drafts only have 1 or 2 stars.  2014 was a solid draft.  Jokic would probably go 2nd in a 2014 redraft.

Solid draft?  They’ve got one All Star and he’s been on a minutes restriction even up through last year due to injuries.

It's a full roster we already need to find a spot for Bird. Who would you drop for him and Bird?

Trade Morris for a cap clearing 2nd rounder. Roster space and avoid the LT this season.
Trade a sure contributor for a flyer.  No thanks.

Actually that's not the trade at all. The trade is to cut money and free up some minutes. Right now semi ojeleye has no place to get minutes.
Injuries happen or simply give guys more days off.
Exactly. Trading a proven and productive vet like Morris on an awesome bargain contract of $5 mill just to open time for unproven players when you are trying to win a title is a terrible idea, IMO.

I see a lot of fans trying to deal Morris off of one offhand comment about his use on a stacked team, but Morris has always been a great teammate wherever he has gone. If he is used a little less but is still a rotation guy on a championship caliber team, I am sure Morris will be happy during the season and at years end.

Morris is a guy that coming off the bench will win you a couple to a few games all by himself. Dude is capable of dropping 30 a few nights a year. You're never getting that offensive production and difference making effort out of Semi, Yabu, Williams or Vonleh this year or maybe ever.

Morris is a no brain keeper, IMHO.

If tanking = yes.

If 2018 Boston = no.
