My Offseason FA targets:

Bigs:
1. Serge Ibaka (would cost too much)
2. Tristan Thompson (could potentially take the tax-payer MLE but probably too expensive)
3. Baynes

Guards:
1. Clarkson (would cost too much)
2. Alec Burks

I'm still in the camp of exploring Hayward, Langford and our three firsts this year for Myles Turner and Victor Oladipo, then give VO and extension.

Then sign a vet wing: Crowder, Moe Harkless, Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore, Juancho Hernangomez, or MKG

Walker 34/Smart 14/Waters/Edwards
Oladipo 34/Smart 14/Burks/Green
Brown 34/ Crowder 14
Tatum 34/Grant Williams 14
Turner 32/Theis 16/RWilliams/Kanter

Has Danny ever traded  a pick for player that is not an all star?

Given that all these players are above our spending budget reinforcements will be coming in thru the draft again.

He gave up a 1st rounder to get Isaiah.

That one was a lopsided trade. Isaiah was a 6th man of the year candidate at the time .

Isaiah wasn't an all-star which is what you asked.  The Kings got rid of him and the Suns were looking at getting rid of him.  He was not a hot commodity around the league.

The other is trading a #1 for a couple of months of Antoine.  I suspect ownership pushed that trade.

Outside of Tatum-Brown and probably Kemba, I’m finally ready to move on from the rest of the roster. If they’re back, I won’t hate it. If we trade a bunch, I can see why too.

Tristan Thompson would be a terrific addition to our big 3, I think. He’s a mobile big who can set solid picks and clean up mistakes with his relentless o-reb instincts. I’m less convinced Baynes is our guy. Im in the camp that thinks mobility and not getting burned on D matters more than shooting ability.

I would also target a shooter more than a scorer. Joe Harris was brought up and idk what it will take to get him but he’d be terrific.

Lastly, I think C’s need an end-of-bench vet. The 15th guy who is a year or two away from retirement and essentially acts like an assistant coach. Someone who has gone the distance, ideally. Andrew Bogut, maybe? Idk.

Alec Burks is an interesting target. Not sure what his price range would be, but he is close with Jayson Tatum.

Hayward is not opting out so free agents going be very few if any with 3 more rookies coming in..but I say couple of those picks may be draft and stash overseas
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I'd love Tristan Thompson but I'd be shocked if he came here instead of rejoining Lebron on the Lakers.

Free agents I'm generally interested in, with no consideration as to how we'd get them.

Bigs:
  • Tristan Thompson
  • Aron Baynes
  • Serge Ibaka
  • Derrick Favors
  • Bismack Biyombo (always been a binkie, for some reason)
  • Alex Len
  • Willy Hernangomez

Swings:
  • Paul Millsap
  • Juan Hernangomez

Wings:
  • Alec Burks
  • Furkan Korkmaz
  • Glenn Robinson III
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
  • Pat Connaughton
  • Jae Crowder

Guards:
  • Bryn Forbes
  • E'Twaun Moore
  • Langston Galloway
  • DJ Augustin
  • Shabazz Napier

I think these guys could all help to a certain extent. Obviously guys like Ibaka would help more than Biyombo

I totally forgot about Boogie. He could be like a super-Kanter, lol
