he is signing with the Celtics the deal will be official next week.

I'd be highly surprised if JG isn't in Celtics green soon.  Danny isn't stupid.  He knows that you need as much quality wing depth as possible when you face LBJ in the playoffs(and to a lesser extent Carmelo).  With Pierce and Green, you have 12 fouls that LBJ must guard on his end as well.  Joseph isn't ready for high volume NBA minutes.

There have been speculations why green has not yet been signed some of them involving trades for bigs.

Ok, we might need a nice backup C but if green doesnt get signed we are EXTREMELY thin at the 3!

I mean seriously its Pierce and thats it!

I highly doubt that doc gives joseph regular minutes at the 3 if he makes the team.

So in short the Cs need to sign green and play him at the 3. We need him to defend and go at guys like lebron in the playoffs.
