Tatum with 0 free throws thru 2 games is inexcusable

You guys want to watch harden take 30 shots a night? That's what he would be on this team.

We need a balanced offense not a guy who carries a larger load.

When it comes down to it in the NBA you need great players. Jayson is a #2 to on a championship team right now. He will not carry us to a championship. Jaylen Brown is most likely a 3rd with potential to be a second option on a championship team.

If we are going to win we need a top 10 player. I can tell you James Harden will be relieved to have a player like Jayson Tatum spotting up and creating shots when needed and not in some gimmick offense like D'Antoni's.

I know Jaylen Brown is playing well, but if Celtics fans are honest with themselves his ceiling is not better than James Harden and he is currently not better than James Harden. If we want to continue to be mediocre we can sit with the squad we have, but we will not win a championship with Brown and Tatum as our best player and especially with this roster.

Not sure what the Celtics fans are waiting for considering we don't have anymore extra lottery picks or cap space for that matter.

I'd rather have Tatum and Harden as our core and

Most telling number:

Tatum FT: 0

😳 that is telling!!!

Like I said; we need more from Tatum, and I am not referring to scoring.  His energy was low - almost intimidated by KD’s presence.

you never see him power to the net and slam it home or attempt to

just soft layup attempts/eurosteps.

In terms of positives from this game:

Brown once again was great scoring inside and mid-range.

Pritchard looked solid on both ends of the floor.

Thompson may have missed several easy looks, but his mobility and lift were much better than in game 1.

Semi has now had two good games in a row and looks to be a legit serviceable rotation player.

The nets are better.

Durant is better than Jayson.

The nets go 8-9 deep with guys who can get buckets.

Not sure which team will be better in four months. But the nets are a much better team right now.

Yup. That’s all there is too it. It’s still only one loss. This is going to be a difficult season. Young teams need training camp and preseason more than veteran teams. I thought we’d be 0-2 right now so I’m pretty happy. On to the next game.

Our Championship window is a couple of years down. We need the Js to keep developing but they are no’s 2 and 3 on a potential title winning side. Danny needs to bring in a real alpha to lead this team - who that is and if anyone will come to Boston will be question.

Nets are really good. I predicted before preseason they were best in Eastern Conference.

Now I feel that even I underestimated them.

They are playing like the team to beat.

Remind me of the 07/08 Celtics in terms of their combination of talent and hunger.

We need to manage our expectations regarding Tatum. He’s a nice player but not in the class of someone line Durant. Durant is special.

Kyrie is playing out of his mind.

Getting creamed on the boards doesn’t help.

Pritchard shot 60% but only got 5 shots. He also had two makes taken away for stepping on the line. He was open a lot. Why is Marcus (better shot selection) smart taking 12 shots? We needed shooters and we got shooters, let them shoot.
