No starter with more than 24 minutes.

It's possible the bench could have won this game without the starters.

40 3's and ended up at only 32%.  Not really a winning strategy.

Hopefully we have decent energy at minimum for tomorrow.  The way we started the 4th was great - plays at the rim.  I'd really like to avoid 40+ shot attempts from 3 in the future if possible, at least until our players prove they can make open 3s with consistency.  That obviously has been a bane of our team so far this season.

Solid win.  Rode a hot start to a pretty drama-less game.

Still saw too much of the 'bad Celtics', though.  This team has got to start putting together some complete efforts.  They don't always have to hit everything like they did in the first quarter, but at the very least, that type of effort and purpose should be the norm.
agreed. you could see what the celtics could be like with a more consistent effort and better shooting. let's hope they take this forward and win tomorrow as well.

Still not a great game for the Celts showing multiple lapses but the Hawks are weak. Hayward is continuing to show signs of life.

Glad to get one in the W column though.

Bad stretch in the 2nd quarter to waste an amazing 1st quarter, then again a bad stretch in the 3rd after going back up by 29.  Team is so Jeckyl-Hyde.

Gotta crawl before you can walk. Gotta walk before you can run.

Fixing what is wrong with this team will be a process. It won't happen overnight. But tonight they showed they could crawl. It's a start.

Agree, though I’m not too worried about the open 3s, if they want to leave us open and defend the paint then we should definitely take those 3s. It’s the contested and lazy ones that they need to get out of their game.

again, the celtics are among the league leaders in OPEN AND UNCONTESTED 3 pointers. they are simply missing them and 5+ players are shooting below their career averages. i expect this to change. and when it does, this team will win a lot of games.

Crazy thought that popped into my head during tonight's game.

Is it me, or does the team suffer when Kyrie and Hayward are on the court together?

During that hot start in the 1st quarter, you had the starters on the court sans Hayward.

Then Hayward comes in with the 2nd unit and plays really well with Kyrie on the bench.

Is it possible Kyrie and Hayward don't gel well together?

By the numbers, it's Hayward and Jaylen who are not playing well with each other. There have been a few articles about this lately.

Quick takes- Hayward another solid game at both ends of the floor. More of an effort to get to the basket, which was nice.  Semi and R. Williams definitely had their moments and may be pushing for minutes, which is good. Semi in particular gives them the type of grit that has been lacking.

They had some stretches where they reverted to no passing, jack up the 3, but they played through them.  At one point though it looked like Brad had to put Hayward back in to facilitate more ball movement  Hopefully they can build on this one.

Final reaction - The Celtics scored 16 points in the 2Q with some truly poor basketball - no one on their broadcast bothered to point that out - Scal, Draper etc...I cannot stand the sugar-coating crap by the people on that broadcast.  It just sucks.

All they talked about at halftime was that (granted) terrific 1Q.  But still...

Box score showed equitable distribution of minutes. Easier to accomplish with lead and one of your starters out.

It was nice to get the W but imo we would've lost yesterday if we were playing a stronger opponent, especially with our lulls. Consistency is def still a big issue.

It was really nice to see Hayward playing with more confidence.
