While Horford needs rest (as always), and Baynes could be out at least another two weeks, maybe a month. Yabu having match-up problems, it seems to me we should look at getting another big.

This big Aussie dude from Kentucky had a nice couple of games recently in the G-League. Has a really nice handle for a 7 footer, and has a good rebound rate.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

I watched Humphries a lot when he played at Kentucky & Sydney (NBL), and I’m really unsure I’d bother with him. He doesn’t really have any average or above NBA caliber skills besides his handle. Tyler Zeller would likely be better

Unfortunately we don’t have an open roster spot to sign anyone.

The next CBA needs to have some mechanism for rostered but suspended / otherwise exempt players.  The Celts shouldn’t be punished for Jabari Bird’s criminal actions.

Why can't he be cut?  Pay his salary whatever, but this team needs to sign a big to a 10-day while Baynes is out.

Because his salary will count towards the luxury tax next season if they cut him now.  If they wait until after the NBA makes a ruling, which I think will come after the justice system deals with it, it might not.

As to an available big who can help, Tyler Zeller.  That is after Bird is cut... hopefully soon.

Heck with the two-way contracts. Let's get some two-way players who can play offense and defense.
