It should also be noted that Kemba and even Smart got blown by a number of times tonight. While it was Bam who absolutely enforced his will on the game tonight, when your perimeter D breaks down, it leaves the rest of your defense scrambling. Lots of easy lay-ups and wide open looks for Robinson and Iggy.

NAAAAAHHHHH....Game was close, Marc Davis INVENTS the 6th foul on Theis.....Screw Davis...he also missed the Jaylen and one, which cost us at least 2 points. Davis has hated the Celtics since Doc called him a homosexual.

He did Brad a favor fouing out Theis.

I just wish we would hire KG or Perkins as a assistant coach.

Sign a bruiser off the bench to give hard fouls

No Perkins, but absolutely KG. He'd more than make up for Boy Scout Brad's softness, though not sure Brad would make it through a full season with KG on his coaching staff.

That 4th quarter sucked but I'm not too upset about this loss.  I never expected to come back from 3-1 against a team that showed itself to be superior to ours through the series.

Next year.  Get us a better supporting cast Danny.  Get rid of our dead weight - Semi, Edwards, Poirier, etc. and add more vets.  Add a 3 point specialist.  And for the love of God get us A REAL CENTER.

Nice guy, but nice guys don't win in the NBA. Too soft for this league and doesn't hold his guys accountable.

Spoeltra's a nice guy. Vogel is too.

I have some gripes with Brad, but this idea that he needs to be a raging lunatic at all times isn't one of them.

Here's the problem with Brad: Grant Williams plays 10 minutes and has the highest +- on the team. Grant Williams was working and Brad just went back to Theis and Game. It really was that easy. Grant Williams should have played 30 plus minutes a game in every game in this series. He can shoot from outside and switch and defend Bam. Draymond Green said after game 4 that Williams was the key to us winning. He was right. He changed the way Miami could play but Brad kept going with Theis and Kanter. Brad couldn't see what was right in front of his eyes.

^100% this. how brad couldn’t see the impact grant was having on miami’s offensive switches is [dang]ing and really begs the question of how good of a game coach brad is at the nba level.

danny has some tough decisions to make this offseason. if he elects to believe the hype that the c’s are young and doesn’t address this team’s glaring issues (including coaching), the c’s will regress by standing still, while the east gets tougher.

Hate to do this but I put this series loss on Tatum as much as anyone...as the supposed superstar he wasn’t consistently good in any of the games even though he showed signs of brilliance in all of them, no performances carrying the team to a steady and consistent lead

Right now these heat are like those NY Giants teams that toppled the patriots twice in the Super Bowl.   Excellent defense and a remarkable ability to gain points in crunch time.

Last 9 minutes of this game have been a disaster. Just crumbled, frankly. And this is why we lost the series: played better for the most part, but Miami were superior in the crunch moments. Probably, simply not ready yet)
Still a good playoff run: Philly were declassed, literally; tough win vs the Raps - maybe that's where guys did spend too much energy, which affected this series. Frustrating here, but give credit to Heat, they deserved it.
All in all: Jayson asserted himself as a true star in this league; JB was, kind of quietly, our best player this postseason (he is a star himself, doesn't get enough praise IMO); Smart was himself, our guy)
I honestly hoped Kemba could give a little bit more, especially in the deciding moments, but, remember, he won his first playoff series only last month; you need experience in situations like this, being able to adjust to different defensive strategies thrown against you.
Theis was extremely valuable, had some great stretches, kudos to him.
And we have guys to step up with GWill and Rob, they were really good.
I feel for Gordon, sometimes it's just not goes right, even if you do everything in your power; he did sacrifice precious personal moments to help the team, but we still lost. Looking forward to next season.
And the offseason too, our draft plan is intriguing.
Thanks everybody for sharing emotions this playoff run! ;)

Yeah Tatum was a ghost in the 1st half for a lot of these games. Needed more consistent effort from him on a nightly basis, not just the 2nd half.

Brad Stevens said Adebayo deciding he was going to drive the ball put the Celtics in a bind with all the shooters around him. Said the Heat’s physicality hasn’t been discussed enough.

Oh really, Brad? It's almost like you needed a 6'8" 240 lb brick craphouse defender in there to stop those drives and make it difficult for him.  ::) >:(

Brad is a dummy tonight

When Grant returned, Bam went back to timid Bam

I'm over the loss already

We were last four standing, would have been nice to make it to the Finals but they exceeded my expectations of what this year would be. Unfortunately they played their worst 6 minutes of the series in the last 6 mins of this game. Our team panicked and folded under the pressure right at the end, but credit to the Heat and Bam, he backed up his words with action.  I'll be cheering for them to beat LeBum and the Fakers. We have 4 months to dissect what went wrong and I'm looking forward to reading all the suggestions and ideas from everyone  :D

Happy to have spent this weird and unique NBA season, all the good and the bad, with my CelticsStrong family!

Looking forward to our offseason and next year and what upgrades we will make ;D

Don't get why you're expecting top 5-8 (MVP calibre) production from a player who's at the fringe of top 15.

Hate to say it but right now the celtics remind me a lot of the Durant-era OKC team.

Awesome talent but it hasn't quite come together yet, and the ball movement seems to fail us at the worst times.

We need a fearless point guard who is going to keep the offense rolling in crunch time.  Not sure what happened to Kamba in the series but he looked very tentative. Maybe it was just an injury. But as the primary ball handler he needs to be better and more composed.
Except OKC actually made the Finals...

Team got nothing from Hayward

He missed a ton of shots

And defensively he was a liability

Too bad he got injured in that 76ers series
