Now if someone can introduce to Danny to a center, we'll be all set.

Have you heard of this guy Kelly Olynyk?

Nenad Krstic.

Ah yes, Nenad Krstic.  The most intimidating balding white guy since Rick Barry!*

*Actual facts may vary.

Lol

Joking aside, whatever happened to Krstic and why didn't Ainge re-sign him? Did it have something to do with the lockout in 2011-12 the following season?

More importantly, could we use his bird rights in a sign and trade for Anthony Davis? ;)

Don’t forget the second rounder we got awarded by NBA from OKC because green was “damaged” goods and OKC “potentially hid his condition” from ainge when the perk trade was made :)

He signed overseas and was never heard from again, haha.

We renounced his Bird rights when signing Horford I think.

We're ruining Danny's rep with these threads.

He's a shrewd but fair GM.

Ah gotcha.

Thanks for the info.

I remember he was okay with OKC but wasn't all that great in Boston

Was Krstic ever that good for us? I think that was the same season where we picked up Troy Murphy who was horrible. But in Krstic's case, I don't remember him playing much in the 2011 playoffs when we needed all the big help we could get (Shaq and Jermaine O'Neal's injuries, etc.) Was he always in Doc's doghouse or was he legit injured or something?

He was quite solid for New Jersey before tearing his ACL, averaging 12PPG and 6RPG over his time there. He looked like he was starting to really get it before the injury, averaging 17/7. Shame. Didn't really ever seem to get healthy again until his last 2 seasons.

Not sure if he was in Doc's doghouse, but I vividly remember he didn't play much in the playoffs. After Perk got traded and Shaq got hurt, I do recall Jermaine O'Neal was our starting center.  However, I think he got banged up again and/or was just very ineffective towards the end of the playoffs and Doc started to use Big Baby at center. Just seems like the team wasn't the same after that trade.

Let's not act like the guy walks on water.  He also destroyed a team that was in championship contention to acquire Jeff Green "to build around for the future."

Agreed. Bring back Perk and Jeff Green. Even Gerald Green. It's too bad the 10 day contract Perk wanted hasn't happened.

I believe BIG3 (league Perk is currently scheduled to play for, along with potentially former C's Al Jefferson, Gomes, House, Big Baby, Nate Rob, Scal, Ryan Gomes, Ricky Davis, Marcus Banks, etc.) paid around 10k/game in its inaugural season...8 games plus up to two potential playoff/consolation games). More games on the docket this year.

Josh Childress received a training camp invite from a team after BIG3, Xavier Silas got a 10 day contract with the C's after playing with BIG3, anything can happen. Why not Perk?
