@Androslav

Some years ago I thought Roko Ukic would be that guard, a tall team-oriented PG with lack of shooting but penetrating to open the ball to shooters. Too bad he didn't got into something special.

And I agree, Drapers or Lafayettes won't change the situation.

Roko Ukić was fairly athletic and a good defensive player, that is what got him the opportunity in the NBA. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/u/ukicro01.html
He didn't possess the necessary finishing (good 1st step, but inaccurate), distributing (was willing but didn't have the vision) and shooting skills (never his forte) to stick around for long. He had a solid and long international career and was our NT PG in the era where we had the least good guards in our history.

Theis has been amazing today. Doing the little things (screens, good positioning) and the stat line is impressive, apart from the monster dunk.

I didn't think he would play minutes with us, but if he keeps this way...he may shut my mouth. I wish.

However, he's had a busy summer and now training camp is coming. I don't know if rookies are prepared for an NBA season without much rest.

Just watched the game. Man, Theis looks really nice. Absolutely stunning shooting motion, textbook.

Good defense too, looks like he could play some small ball 5. Perfect for Brad's system. Expect to see a lot of him from the get go...

I'm a Theis fan too and I expect him to get mins with the second unit. He should be able to help more than Ojeleye or Yabusele who have no experience and lack a defined playing profile.

I just avoid saying it much in the Forums bcs it gets interpreted as Theis will win 6MOTY.

He might be in the running if he explodes out of training camp - it's not completely stupid. Pretty unlikely though given how many minutes Tatum and Morris (and Semi) will undoubtedly get.

.598 from the floor in Euroleague? Sheesh.

Also, why did Bamberg only play him 19 mpg last year in the BBL?? His per36 numbers are solid, and his defense seemed pretty amazing?? What give?

Look forward to watching an illegal stream of the Eurobasket quarter.

Slovenia vs Latvia today, a game that I wish would happen a bit later, as I have enjoyed their play and root for them. Both teams are Eurobaskets most pleasant surprises, both look medal-worthy so far.
This game is more than just Kristaps vs Dragić (tournaments 4th and 5th leading scorers and perhaps EB best players),
it is also, a below the radar, Timma (http://www.fiba.basketball/eurobasket/2017/Janis-Timma) vs Dončić battle.
Basketballs new Euro powers!

Betting line in Croatia:
SLO          2,10
LAT          2,20
Overtime  17,0

I saw too that their online odds are about equal and found it a bit weird.

IMO Slovenia is the favourite in this game.

Theis looks good...solid. Playing good D on Marc G as well despite giving a few inches (but man would I LOVE to get Marc!  Will definitely be in the rotation as a big 4 small 5.  On another note, Utah fans are trying to fool themselves into believing that because they got Rubio it'll lessen the blow of losing Hayward. Sorry guys but RR is ONLY a distributor.  He is FAR from a scorer.
