Not a Noel fan. In fact, I think he and Williams have similar problems with their game, but Williams is a young work in progress. At this point, Noel is what he is.

Plus, Noel is not good with the ball in his hands. Sometimes it's painful to watch.

Sign him and Okafor.  Trade all the picks for Dario Saric.

No way on Saric - Noel and Okafor blow him away on potential. Maybe Danny can trade Tatum and the Sac pick for Fultz, though  :P

Honestly, I'd take a flyer on Noel if Theis wasn't returning, though. I don't love the fit with him and Time Lord, but one of them should prove to be playable. I have no idea why Noel seems to have regressed each year he has been in the NBA.

I used to have high hopes for NN.  I thought that maybe being in philly was his big problem, but he really hasn't done much at the other places either.  Maybe he is better than Timelord?  I guess, a little.  I would expect that after a good off-season program, some time back and forth from Maine + some playing time that Timelord might be as good by the end of the year?

I'm so down with Nerlens.

My only concern is this will push Robert Williams back to the very end of the bench. But hey, maybe some competition between the two would help him develop faster.

Just wanted to revive this thread because it seems we are in desperate need for a center  :)

I think Nerlens Noel could be great for us next year. He's one of the quickest centers in the league and was productive in his minutes last year. Do you guys think the MLE would be enough to get him?

I always had the feeling he wants to play for the Celtics because he's from Boston and names Bill Russel as his idol.

Seems like a risk worth taking but is he willing to come here for small money? I don’t think it’d be wise to burn our whole MLE on him

I haven't thought about Okafor in a while.  Has he made any progress  as a player?

Meh, would rather have Capela, Adams, one of the Indy bigs, etc.

I feel like Noel has been in the league long enough where he hasn't really made the most of his opportunities (of course, I also haven't seen every one of his games.)

He actually had a bit of a renaissance last season in New Orleans that I believe they picked up his team option.
