If this is things to come,  oh man are the Celtics in for a treat.  Robert Williams showcased amazing stuff on both ends.  Swatting balls left and right.  Really good passing skills.  But those alley hoop dunks...  amazing

He still needs to play with more consistency, improve his jump shot and add some more mass. But in my opinion, Celtics have found their starting center/pf (starting next season and beyond)

He does need to keep working and hard but he's a 22 year old big man with elite athleticism. He can up so quickly it looks like he's jumping off one of those little trampolines.  Also great hands and passing. Some of those passes were not so good but TIMELORD got them!

TP for clips!

Robert is a unique big. His hops make him into something that isn't out there. Last year he'd zone out when on the floor, but this year...

He was so tuned into the game tonight. He only had two fouls which is huge for him.

His passing is really quite good. Fun to watch him getting better.

His positioning on defense is improved and needs to improve more. The minutes are really helping him.

His conditioning last year was not what it is this year. He's zipping up and down the court. His hard work is paying off.

One of my favorite things is watching CBS on the sideline with some of the views to see his reaction to the highlights. About 2:21, on the big and-1 alleyoop, you can see CBS nod his head just a little bit as Williams dunks it.

That's as much of a celebration reaction as you are going to get from CBS.

No doubt the best sequence of the night was the block on Forbes from 3, the recovery of the block, and the on-time pass to Wannamaker who set up Green for the great dunk.

Still, a less glorious part of that play was his defense on Aldridge. When Aldridge posted him in the mid-range on the left side, he went to go over his right shoulder for the fade away. But Williams' length bothered Aldridge enough to force him to kick it out to Forbes and run to set a screen for him. Williams trailed the Aldridge screen, stayed in pretty good ICE position, and then had the length and quick-jumping to still block Forbes when he went up, kicking off the fast break.

you are right about the Robert Williams reaction from CBS.  But not true in regards to celebration reaction as you are going to get

Grant Williams block on Barrett got CBS standing up and clapping (highlight below).  It doesn't happen often though

I noticed this too! Aldrige goes over the shoulder and freezes the moment he see timelord with his arm up there. You can almost see the moment LA realizes he'll get blocked if he tries it.

He was an absolute joy to watch. I think he could be an x-factor for the Celts this year. If he continues to play like this and remains on the floor without getting injured, the Celts could be a nightmare for every team in the NBA.

It's still a big man's sport and RW3 is a talented, big and athletic man!

Is there anyone out there who still thinks he should be in the G League this season?

And can we put a lid on the trade ideas for another center, at least for the weekend??

If Williams can keep developing he’s perfect for this team.  Low maintenance, energy guy.  He has zero offense but potentially this team can absorb that at one spot.
