According to a league source the Celtics and 2nd round pick Carsen Edwards have come to terms on a guaranteed contract.

Over $4.5 million in guaranteed salary over the course of the deal for Edwards, per source.

Nice. They paid him like he's a first round pick. 4.5M guaranteed over 3 years, plus a 4th year team option.

Also, last year’s #33 pick Jalen Brunson received 4.3M guaranteed

Great - Carsen gets his guaranteed deal and we lock him down for up to 4 years at a dirt-cheap rate. Seems mutually beneficial.

That's a good deal for The Celtics. I guess that's also a lot of cash for Edwards. I'm glad that it got done.

Looks like Claxton and Okpala got just under 4.2M.

I guess this is why second round picks have value.

That depressing Demetrius Jackson contract stretch until 2035 that always pops up on Spotrac is the only risk of course.

This was a great signing and they are grooming him to come of the bench in summer league for instant on fire offense.  Arson Carson!
