Props for Pedroia

You know the feeling when you're watching a sporting event and you just know something's going to happen before it happens?  Sometimes this can be to a degree where you're not even really surprised when it actual does happen.  Last night when Pedroia stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the 8th inning and the Sox putting their foot on the Yankees throat you just knew he'd come up big.  He whacked one into the Yankee bullpen for a granny. 

The kid has had an amazing knack for delivering in big statement moments.  There have definitely been some great step up performers for the Sox this year - Youk, Lester, Masterson, Lowrie, Drew in spells...but Pedroia stands above all and has taken a real leadership role on this team. 

The new face of the Red Sox is the grinder.
