Since "my" team FC Copenhagen qualified for the CL yesterday (and I figured a thread like this would come along anyway) I thought I might as well start it. I am very excited to see that Copenhagen will go up against the big boys. The last time they were in the CL (2006) they beat Manchester United (1-0) and Celtic (3-1, a match I went to) and managed to get the best group stage points total a Danish team has ever had.

I am beyond excited as Tottenham qualified last night as well.

I watched the group draw earlier and was completely ecstatic that Spurs were drawn in the same group as Inter.  Milan is only about 2 hours up the road from me so I will be able to make the trip.  I’m just really psyched to see them compete with the “big boys”.

Group G looks to be the most interesting group with AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, and Auxerre.  Some other good match ups to watch for are Man V Valencia and Bayern Munich V AS Roma.  I am also interested to see Hapoel Tel-Aviv.  I saw their game the other night and their fans are something else.  That will be a tough trip for any team to make.

Here are the groups:

I was hoping for a group with Real and Milan or Inter. Hopefully i`ll get a ticket for the Milan - Real

Best of luck to Copenhagen. Many Greeks support the team. Every point will make us happy especialy if it`s won against panathinaikos. We`ll particularly enjoy a qualification over pao :D :D :D

Second place in the group for Copenhagen is not entirely impossible. Barcelona will, of course, be a handful. Looking very much forward to these matches!

BTW how about Milan? We bought Ibrahimovic for a discount price (24 million after Barca payed 45+Eto'o for him a year ago) and also brought Robinho for 18 million. Now we have four world calss players in the attack along woth Ronaldinho and Pato. We also made key depth purchases for defense and midfield so Milan will be a joy to watch both in Serie A and Champions League.

After a bad 3 years span, finally a team worty of the great empire.

Congrats, ACF. Nice win.

Funny thing is that København's coach predicted a 1:0 win before the game.

And he said that N'Doye would score the goal  ;D

Chelsea and Arse dominated earlier today. Those Man Utd clowns with a draw at Old Trafford to Rangers:  ;D  <-- one of my first lessons as a new Liverpool fan was to root against them under any circumstances and it's pretty fun: maybe because of the way they have conceded points the past few weeks, including the Everton extra time goals and playing their backups in the CL.

That's a very important lesson, jdpapa3 :) United deserved to lose for not playing their strongest line up.

BTW feeling bad for Valencia. That horrible injury will keep him out for a long time.

Fabregas and Arshavin killed it!!!
And what class Cesc showed yesterday...he had 2 goals and usually when a player has two they go all out for the 3rd  but Cesc didn't care about that, if a teammate was in better position he passed the ball.
GO ARSENAL!!!
GO CELTICS!!!
