Which Celtics (current players) will be here for the next championship?

NBA has made it nearly impossible to rebuild , without major luck from the draft .

Well, the Hawks, Pacers, Rockets, Grizzlies, Raptors and Warriors did it. Why can't the Celtics? It just doesn't happen when u snap your fingers.

It probably goes without saying, but despite making some progress not one of those teams has won a championship due to their recent rebuilding.

Very true. Though I think 3 (Pacers pre-chemistry meltdown, Houston and the Warriors) maybe 4 (I want to say Grizzlies but cant quite do it) of the teams I mentioned are/were right on the doorstep which is all you can ask for from management IMO.

Sadly I agree with this. I don't expect to land a future star until 2016 draft, and that will require luck and development time.

The rebuild has been underway for a couple years now (I am arbitrarily starting with  the end  of the new Big Three:  Ray, KG and Pierce).  There are no players left of the 2008 Championship team.  The drafting has begun of promising young players, and the trading is underway.  All the All Stars and Champions have now departed and it is time to develop new ones.

Who, if any, of the present Celtics  do you expect will still be here to help raise the next championship banner?  Do you expect a drawn out rebuild, or a relatively quick one?

TBH, probably none.  certainly none in a starting capacity.

"We all know that draft picks and prospects take time to pan out.  It takes patience."

"None of the recent draft picks and prospects that we currently have will ever pan out."

The people who stay will still be finding something to p--- and moan about.
