KI out tonight
KI out tonight
And Morris and Larkin.
Rozier might have to put up another big game.Rozier might have to play the entire game.
That's fine. Give Rozier another chance to earn trust and build confidence. He won't physically outclass Shroeder like he did Jack, but I still want him to play well.
EDIT: Wait, Larkin is out? Who do we even have at backup PG?

Larkin didn't play the last game either. I think it's Nader. BTW, Schroeder is a game time call also.
#Celtics coach Brad Stevens said Guerschon Yabusele could be in mix for shorthanded C's tonight. #DancingBearAlert
Ugh, Schroeder always plays lights out against us.
Who will be the backup point guard when Rozier sits? Nobody...
Just catching up. How are the kids doing?
Nader can be annoyingHe goes through stretches where he can't do a single thing right.
some of these lineups are terrible. but this is the time to rest the players
truesome of these lineups are terrible. but this is the time to rest the players
Well... they're resting cause they are hurt. Playing the only guards we have and sometimes no guards at all.

but if this were the finals then kyrie would be playing
I really wish Nader and Allen would be replaced with real NBA players. Yeesh...I like Allen’s defense.
Anybody else notice Mike Gorman making A LOT of mistakes lately, almost like he's not connected to the game sometime?
Hawks were just up 21-19, and Gorman said "The Hawks can take the lead here now with a 3" as Hawks were coming down court.

Yeah I am in agreement there.
Typical euro flop

Yes i did, i actually assumed the score was incorrect as Gorman is so on
Also is eveyrthing ok with tommy?
Feels like the Hawks can't be stopped from getting buckets.
Feels like the Hawks can't be stopped from getting buckets. And yet...only down 4
Nader is working hard tonight.Last few games he's playing within team game and looking like he did a few years ago when he should have made roster
Yabu must really stink.I think he has physical gifts but not much BB IQ
Jaylen..whoah!!!!That looked like a Jordan move.

Yabu must really stink.
Jaylen..whoah!!!!Highlight on ESPN
Yeah, not saying he's hopeless but from what I've seen from Red Claws games, he can dominate people base on his physical tools but just seems lost on the court sometimes. Time and playing will help that. Just don't think he will see much time with the big club, especially now with Monroe on the roster as well.Yabu must really stink.I think he has physical gifts but not much BB IQ
Hasn't been playing long and NBA defense, especially top NBA defense, is sometimes hard to pick up. He's only a rook.
wow didnt realize terry is 6 for 8 with 14 in the half
Al Horford leading the way tonight. Abusing Ilyasova.
12-5 fouls ::)at home!
12-5 fouls ::)i'm hoping it's because youngins dont get the calls and not something moire sinister

Every player the Celtics have used off the bench is a rookie. Two of their starters have an average age of 20. And Terry Rozier is making just his second NBA start.

A few guys also have clearly been playing more aggressively since Kyrie was out (Rozier and Al most). It's nice to see. Shows a well coached team and a team that understands a group dynamic.

Aron Baynes looks like a huge scary leprechaun.

It rules that Rozier is becoming Russ if Russ was motivated by joyfulness and a love for little Debbie's snacks instead of malice
Terry-sanity.
That was a really good 3rd quarter.
Bazemore going rogue.
Terry Rozier has been excellent. He's an imperfect player but a valuable member of this team. After the last 2 games it's becoming less clear which of Marcus or Terry I like moving forward.
Marcus is 11 days older than Terry.

The difference is Terry just never had the confidence...till now. Marcus has always been confident even though his offense sux. Hopefully Terry can keep it up when he's running the 2nd unit. If so, Marcus is definitely expendable.
I don’t get why these teams don’t pressure the Celtics when they don’t have a point guard in the game.
Rozier and Tatum growing up before our eyes! Splendid games from both so far tonight.
Wish I could follow this game along closely, but got a freakin' physics lab report due in 2.5 hours :(
Why is Nader getting shots in the 4th quarter?

He is a rookie, not every rookie can pull a Tatum.

That Theis deflecton out to the shooter was amazing!
How's Jaylen doing?

Would Danny trade Rozier now?

Danny was never trading Rozier.
So much for that rookie wall chatter we were hearing about a week ago with Tatum.

lol why should we trade all out productive players. lol
We're going to score 120+ without Kyrie, Hayward, Morris, Smart, or Larkin. Crazy.Wow. That is sorta incredible. Sorta

Great teammate. Made hopefully his last bone head move like that.

When Jaylen and Jayson both play well, this team looks so good.
We're building the confidence of our bench, it can only pay dividends come playoff time.Definitely
Nice win.

If Semi, Nader, and Allen are seeing major minutes in the playoffs, no amount of confidence can save us.
Does anybody understand a single thing the Indian guy and the British guy are saying in the advertisement where they discuss cricket? I'm almost positive they're discussing cricket.

i laughed at Scal when he said Hawks players must be in awe and revved up themselves of seeing a full house loud crowd , instead of the empty silent home court on a Friday night.

I understand every word they are saying but have no idea what those words mean in the context of the sport of cricket, which I think is the idea. Donkey drop? That's really a term in cricket? SMH.
These guys are 23, 24, and 25, respectively. There's very little development you should expect to see there. Sometimes it’s also okay to admit that you need guys to soak up minutes and not sweat it if they make a combined $2.6 million.
I've been reading and I'm nervous. The two most interesting plays of the night. Credit goes to Daniel Theis on the 1st one for tipping it out in heavy traffic to Rozier for the 3. Love the way Theis is playing lately!
Second one was just a brain-fart by Prince to not look that the ball was still in play. He assumed it sailed out of bounds and was gesturing angrily at Ilyasova about the the bad pass. The ref actually kept the ball in play and saved them from a turnover, but it became a turnover anyway.

Love the way Theis is playing lately!Thought the best play of the night was the left handed bounce pass in transition down the court from Brown to Tatum who put in the layup. That pass is a 9 out of 10 difficulty pass that was made masterfully

Tatum and Rozier had great games last night, and unfortunately for Jaylen, they overshadowed multiple positive steps forward in his game. He is still raw and figuring out how to stay engaged the whole game, but its because of rhythm, not effort or passion.
He had a great drive where he drew both his man and Horford's man into the paint, and then kicked it out to Horford for the wide open 3.
He had multiple quick passes that set up teammates for easy scores.
His drives looked much more creative. The drive to the right, hopestep left around the helpside, and finish the left hand was awesome! The no-look finish over his shoulder looked a bit like Kobe (except Kobe would have gotten that call).
Using the pick-and-roll, he had multiple pull-up 3s.
His defense on-ball was not great, although his positioning was pretty good the whole game.
