We aren’t drafting a rookie to take wannamakers spot. Ainge always has a vet to be a backup pg

I think Waters replaced BW on the roster.

I'm saying he takes his spot in the rotation. I'm saying of the 15 roster spots Brad is likely gone and his spot is taken by a rookie

FWIW. I like Aaron Nesmith if he's available. Guy can flat out shot. The Celtics are in desperate need of someone off the bench that can score. Doesn't look like Carson Edwards is that guy.
I would happily trade 14 & 26 to move up a few spots and grab him.

Just my opinion.

I'm high on Nesmith too, but I wouldn't trade up for him. Chances are that Saddiq Bey will be on the board at #14. If Nesmith is gone, I'd just draft Saddiq Bey. If both of them are on the board (highly unlikely), I'd be happy with either one of them.

I dont. His jump shot is too shaky. Too small

Carsen Edwards also could be better

I like pg Devon Dotson with one of the 20s pick

Maybe resign Wannamaker for one more year

Adding shooters is a priority. So how about taking a shooter with our #47 second rounder?

I'm thinking that Sam Merrill would be a good pick with #47. He has a high BBIQ and can really shoot.
That's a guy that's well taught, has 4 years of college experience and can contribute right away as a cost-controlled 3-point-specialist bench player.

Sam Merrill college career: from three 319/759 (42%), 2-pointers 396/762 (52%), free throws 448/503 (89%), 62 TS% and ASS/TO 3.6/1.6

I love Sam Merrill with that 47th pick. At least a situational shooter in small minutes and could turn to a reliable bench guy. I would also be happy with Payton Pritchard at 47. Pritchard has a great shot and excellent handle.

I've been calling for him for a week or two now. He's truly elite shooting the ball. He's a better defender than given credit for, and his offence isn't only limited to shooting the 3. Will be a steal in the 2nd round

Funny because I have Pritchard as a second option there also ;D. Just think that with his limited athletism he can't be more than a 3rd string point guard next season and that puts up the question what we're going to do with G-league ROY Tre Waters?

By the way I was looking at G-league stats (for Tre), but the stats that a large group of players put up there is nuts.

Pritchard has two elite skills in handle and shooting but it's his crazy work ethic that gives him a chance to succeed where others of small satue and moderate athletism have failed. I already think he's better than Waters.

Corey Kispert is another one for the second round. He shot 43% from 3 last year and 39% for his career. Moves well and has been working out with Joe Harris. Would be nice in the 2nd round as a shooter off the bench.

I like Kispert. He's a really good shooter, as you mention. His release reminds me of RJ Hunter - lighting fast and smooth. Love the way Kispert moves and shoots.
He's also a good defender, or at least much better than most who have his offensive skillset. Wouldn't mind him if Merrill is off the board
