Title: KG really told Melo "Your wife taste like"
Post by: KG Living Legend on January 10, 2013, 08:29:11 PM

"Your wife taste like honey nut cheerios" I thought it was B.S. first time I heard it. But Charles, Kenny, and Shaq were all just joking about it on TNT.

Is that out of bounds if he said it.

This. and if I heard it on the court I'd ignore him. Melo played right into his game. He's mentally weak, and the Knicks follow his lead.

Sigh.

We are talking about this more than the Knicks fans. And our player wasn't even suspended.

Those folks at TNT are joking about it so KG must have really said it.

Who do you believe; Doc, who flat out denied that KG didn't say that or the guys on TNT joking about it on air?

Time to move on.

We won. Carmelo was suspended. End of story.

I'm 100% sure KG has said much MUCH worse to other players.

I'm happy this happened. Just re-assured me that the Knicks aren't going anywhere near a championship with Carmelo leading the way.

This. TP for saving me the time of writing the same. Further, the title is misleading in my opinion.

An entire thread devoted to this?!?

Sorry, but this has already been beaten to death, and given far more attention than it's worth.

Just my opinion, but I like to think CelticsBlog is a bit more constructive and substantive than this.

Not aiming this at anyone, just the subject matter.

I have to assume Melo got angry about something. I highly doubt KG said "Your life shakes like a lovely old video"

And that concerns us because?

Who cares what got him mad?

My points is, this is probably the 4th(?) thread related to this drama and a silly topic like this has had its share of keystrokes. More than it deserved. I know the first thread on this topic was locked too.

Even the folks at TMZ have moved on. We should too.

The last time this a thread with this exact same topic came up Roy locked it for "vulgar and beneath celtics blog standards". Let's see how long this one makes it.  ::)

I don't think anyone is concerned. KG can take care of himself.

Is this any worse than the dozens of times I have heard KG questioning a player's manhood or the hundreds of times I heard Larry Bird do the same thing or the few times I have heard MJ do it?

You're on the court competing at the highest level. If you are so weak you let people get in your mind with words, regardless of the words, you aren't strong enough to succeed at this league's highest level.

I don't care what KG said to Melo. Melo is a professional paid a lot of money to be professional and do everything he can to win basketball games. Presumably he should have more maturity than a five year old, and not be manipulated so easily. He should be so embarrassed that he let someone get in head. that is just being mentally weak, and he is paid too much money to be that [dang] gullible.

So when KG said "happy mother's day mother f.." to Duncan, whose mother died when he was 14 that was ok?
