TP, FL

Will stay late to watch the game (as always, hehehe) so I expect nothing but a win.

Go Celtics!!!

We can't help but win , with that rebounding/point making powerhouse T. Murp on our side.  ::)....LoL

Even with this handicap I still predict a "V" for the "C"

Injuries
Antonio McDyess (back) probable
Tony Parker (knee) probable
Tim Duncan (ankle) possible
Manu Ginobili (thigh) possible

Ginobili's and Duncan's game jerseys spotted hanging in their lockers by the Spurs beat reporter.

I'd upgrade that to "highly likely" on all 4 "injured players".

Interesting stat reported b yA. Sherrod Blakely :

Just got word that the #Spurs, losers of their last four games, have never lost five in a row during the Tim Duncan-era.

Well I guess the saying "There is a start for everything" comes true tonight!

Eager to see JO back on the court. TP FL!

tonight's game is a virtual no-win situation

if we win, we should have because Duncan is out, if we lose, the slide continues

the only "win" would be a blowout victory where everyone looks great

maybe a "moral" victory would be a loss where Jermaine looks good
Who cares, a win is a win. I want to have HCA as much as possible in the playoffs and if we don't start winning we'll be the 3 seed.

I expect a blowout loss tonight....10-15 points. I think tonight will pretty much lock them into a three seed. This team is disappointing right now and I don't think anything changes tonight or the next eight games. Tired of hearing about injuries and flipping a switch come playoff time. I just don't see it in this team. Their body language is awful and they look lost.
TP for you.  This is exactly my thinking as well.  Forget about HCA, this team first needs to start playing well, and it's hard to imagine they will "flip the switch" for the playoffs.  Kevin McHale was on a radio interview this afternoon (98.5 FM Boston) and he doesn't believe in it either.

Don't expect too much from JO either.  It's been a long layoff.

All Spurs will be playing tonight.  I changed the game thread on the front page but don't have time to change this one. So if you want to see the Spurs starting lineup and their stats, check out the preview on the front page.

What are people drinking while watching the game?  I am considering either Harvey's Bristol Cream or a bottle of Andre.  (I don't like beer that much.)

I remember we had an entire thread devoted to this topic sometime in the past few years.

I have a selection of beers from my local store in the mini-fridge.  Favs are Newcastle Brown Ale and Smithwick's Ale.  I'm not big on stout, but can choke down an occasional light beer once the good stuff is gone.
