Erden should not start. There is nobody that he can come close to defending in the Knicks starting unit. They should bring him off the bench and use him against Ronny Turiaf.

Garnett needs to play the center position and check Amare Stoudemire.

No good matchup for checking Gallinari. Maybe it's best to stick Glen Davis on Landry Fields rather than Gallo and see if they can get away with that. Otherwise, they'll have to go small with Marquis at SF and Pierce at PF.

This is another one of those matchups similar to the Phily game where the C's lack of size and flexibility on the wings will hurt them matchup wise. It'll give New York an opening to make this a tight game when it shouldn't be.
I like your thoughts.  I posted in the semih love thread that kg should start at center tonight.  But keep Glen on bench and go with
c kg
f daniels
f pierce
sg ray
pg rondo

this would be a good line up for tonight

I'm glad Doc decided to sit Shaq again (probably against Atlanta too), I just hope the refs won't give the "euro rookie" treatment to Erden.

KG vs Amare should be a great matchup, they can't stand each other and they will both have extra motivation.

Hopefully it will be a blowout but it probably won't.

TP FL and Go Celtics!

Games v New York are always particularly important for me, with my older brother being a Knicks fan :-[

I think starting Nate would be a better idea.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Why would starting Nate be better?

Have a feeling of a playoff match up for some reason to me. Perhaps cause my dad and brother are knicks fans and the this is the first time the have done well in awhile. Well I hope its a good game and of course Celtics come out on top!

Knicks are dictating the pace, not good. Rondo needs to quit passing up layups.

why don't they put KG on Amare? Erden was getting killed guarding him, and Davis will too.

I predicted the Celts first double digit loss of the season tonight given no Shaq, so I am not expecting much. Who is with on Amar'e going for 40-50 points tonight? I guess it depends on how much Semih has to play.

Amare is going to work whomever the C's put on him.

They will in the fourth quarter.  They don't want to do that the whole game.

Erden seemed to be hampered by attempting not to pick up fouls.

How about 60 for Amar'e tonight? I think this is going to be a real ugly one.
