There will be a huge difference between Lebron, Durant and whoever gets picked 10th let alone 30th, but the challenge is interesting though.

I'll help commish if people will have me. I was hoping to GM with Rondo but if the board needs a commish, I would be more than willing to help out.

Well, if you're interested, it would be nice to have you on board.

You know the drill in terms of the basic rules.  If you're contemplating any rule changes, please run them by me and I'll discuss them with the staff.  I'm sure in most cases it will just be a rubber stamp.

Yeah.  We try to mitigate this somewhat by doing a "modified snake", where whoever picks 1st in the 1st round picks last in the 2nd and 3rd round.  There's definitely a huge superstar advantage, though.

I won't be participating as a GM, but I'll be helping out as a (backseat) co-Commish and I can evaluate trades for anybody who wants some advice.

Well, if I am commish, its pretty much just business as usual from the last couple years. I think they have been highly successful. I am sure I would just need some mod help opening and closing threads and such and maybe a little mod help setting up the Excel voting sheet that gets revealed during the playoffs. Other than that, I'll do it. Sorry Rondo, you'll have to win it without me.

I can be a part time GM at this moment.

Any newbie looking to get in want to work with someone who has been in about every basketball related draft on this site but probably doesn't have time for the leg work of the trades now, let me know.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'll be around, won't have the time to be a real GM or commish, but can help out sporadically with either.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Put me down as a GM (I'll have to check to see if I'll have time.  I'll let you know by Sunday.)

Also, if anyone wants to co-GM I guess I could do that, too.

I would be interested in being a gm but it all depends on when it would start. I cant do it the middle 2 weeks of August.

My take on this is that the the whole draft is usually a 4 week run. I think the last two weeks of August would be the best time to do the draft part of the game. The draft always takes two weeks. That brings us to the Labor day holiday. The pressers can run the week after the holiday and the playoffs the week following.

It puts the holiday in a perfect spot before the voting starts and so would mitigate the loss of interest the draft would have that we have seen in other years when the Labor day holiday was happening around voting time or in the drafting time.

I'm interested in being a gm. Again however, i Prefer to not have drafting the last week of August though,  if possible.
