one of the underrated elements coming out of this IMO is we got back that big personality on the bench that we lost with Pose.

the "ML Carr effect" if you will....Sheed is gonna a big boost to the whole vibe of the team.

There will be an excitement everytime he stands to come into the game for the first time

I'm ecstatic, but I'm won't get to high until he actually signs. Hedo anyone?

Yeah. I don't know. This seems a little different. I don't think Sheed would D-over KG like that.

If he wasn't sure, I think he would wait until he was to commit.
One difference is the wife. Hedo's wife wanted Toronto.

  • Thanks Red
now we have clutch veteran leadership off the bench, he can fit in many game situations....hes likely to be in there in clutch scoring situations...he could hit the big shot, or leave ray or paul open...I love it

Shot over to Tanquay's Tweet and he says that Strickland told him of the commitment and that Strickland will be on the 10:00 show...(Sports Sunday, I guess).

Is it too early to start talking how this is going to effect the team X's and O's-wise? That's a conversation I can't wait to have.
Looking at my gucci, and it's about that time...

Yeah, except Sheed should be much more valuable to us than Posey.  Sheed totally makes us long up front.  This is especially important defensively. I really think this is a masterful addition. More important than Shaq to Cleveland, Jefferson to SA, Artest to LA, VC to Orlando. This is going to be huge.  Now we can match up with the Lakers again. We really could not last year, and they showed it in both games vs. us.

In general terms of $$ and contracts this makes davis very expendable.  I am not knocking him but what pt will he get with this team now?  I know sign & trade deals are difficult but if I was danny I'd be looking at this.  Give me swift, scal andPOWE for the remaining bigs and I'm happy, use davis $ to go after grant hill or a good defensive vet pg.
side note : while sheed is not my favorite player I've always hated to play him, hits big shots and has a very good all around game (when he brings it)
